Gorgeous non-fading TRUE BLACK!

Tatania

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 824254DOB: 9/20/200123 yrs
Shown only once, Tatania easily won the Blue Ribbon in a large class at the NAAS, one of the toughest shows anywhere. And was very, very close to being chosen as the Reserve Champion! Tatania is tall, proud female with square proportions, straight legs and a good bite. A big, solid girl with heavy bone and great coverage, she catches the eye - an alpaca you would be proud to own. Fleece: Her fleece is non-fading TRUE BLACK. At 10 her fleece is bright, with a very soft handle and good density. A very impressive fleece for a true black, especially when you consider her age - proof of her genetic quality. Offspring: She produces cria with the most wonderful crimpy, soft and bright fleece. All have had tufted ears and great coverage. She is an easy keeper, and a good mom with plenty of milk. Her five cria were each born unassisted: a LSG male sired by a DSG), TB male (by TB), two DB females (one by a BB and one by a Beige) and BB female (sired by a white male!). If you want to raise quality color - especially black or grey - Tatania is a GREAT CHOICE . Pedigree: Tatania's pedigree is heavy on color, mostly black and silver grey. With age, she has developed a little silver grey on her neck. Her sire was a well-known son of Peruvian Drambuie (Alianza). The farms of the Rural Alianza Co-op have selectively bred alpacas over decades for their vigor and ability to retain their dense, fine fleeces into full maturity and beyond. Tatania is no exception. Her fiber spins up into the most glorious yarn. Come see and and feel her fiber - you’ll be amazed! Tatania was being held open due to the owner's space constraints. With a female this nice, that's a shame. BREEDING AVAILABLE: to a handsome silver-grey male- a grandson of Inca Legend and Snowmass Peruvian Casanova! For just a little more... Note: this alpaca is being brokered by Inti Alpacas, LLC for the owner.

Description

Yes, you read that right - a direct daughter of the great Quetzal - for only $3,500. (!) You can see from the photos that Glory is a good-looking, well built female. (We've got to get some new pictures, she's way better looking than they show.) And she's out of a BLACK dam, so Glory carries the black gene. Why so cheap? Her owner MUST sell the herd for health reasons; their loss can be your gain. This alpaca is obviously worth a lot more. If you want to raise crias with eye-catching good looks and loads of coverage in COLOR - including black or grey this is your girl. Her fleece is that 'red' shade of brown with dark points that some call 'maroon', a highly prized color. Description - A spunky alpaca, Glory catches everyone's eye with her good conformation, typey head, pleasing proportions, and cute ear tufts. She has good crimp with nice staples and density. Her CV has remained very low and the micron is pretty consistent throughout her blanket. Her dam line has a record of good mothering skils, with easy deliveries & lots of milk. These 'maternal traits' are known to be highly heritable, so Glory should be no different. Held open due to her owner's circumstances, she is ready to produce beautiful crias for you. Sire - Magical Farm's Quetzal is nationally recognized as a sire of top quality ciras. Better yet, his offspring are developing a reputation for producing outstanding offspring. Sired by the famous Accoyo import PPeruvian Timoteo G4565 and out of PPPeruvian Cornus (Alianza Macusani), Quetzal has numerous multi Champion cria to his credit, including Peruvian Monsanto who sold at the 2004 Breeder’s Choice auction for $125,000. Dam - Tatania is a beautiful true black Drambuie granddaughter with heavy bone and lovely coverage, Her sire, Lanark's Expresso, was famous in his day - for his quality and the quality of his offspring. His quality was recognized in the show ring with multiple Blue Ribbons (championships were not offered at that time). Tatania maintained a CV under 20 through 8 years of age. Come to the farm and feel it - you’ll be amazed. Tatania is a good mom, just like her mom - still producing cria at the age of 16. *A breeding for Glory included - contact us for details and list of sires to choose from.* Note: This alpaca is brokered by Inti Alpacas, LLC for the owner. Contact us to come see her.
