Service Sire: A.L. Paca's Blitzer
What can we say? We weren't in the market for a rose-grey male. Until, of course, our eyes landed on Blitzer!
Just look at his photos, and you'll understand why we purchased him at such a young age. He combines fineness, crimp, density, and that awesome rose-grey color.
Specifically, we purchased him to augment our black and grey breeding program. His strong crimp and recessive black genetics will surely serve us well as he begins his breeding career.
His sire, Simba of A.L. Paca's, is a 9 time champion and a 12 time Get-Of-Sire. <--description-->
Description
There are less than 20 lines of appaloosa huacayas in the United States. Five of these lines resulted from heterozygous suris that produced appaloosa huacayas. Zoey is indeed a rare find, because she is one of the few "original" appaloosa huacayas, born to an imported huacaya dam, with her sire being the result of a pregnancy in an imported huacaya female. On top of that, Zoey is full Peruvian.
As with most harlequins, Zoey was born as a fawn with dark spots. Within the first year of her life, the fawn was replaced with dark rose-to-silver grey. If one looks closely, the original spots are still discernible, especially on her wildly-spotted face. If you like having one of kind, Zoey or an offspring could bring that to your herd.
Presently Zoey is bred to a fawn, A.L.Paca's Blitzer, and has a good chance of producing an appaloosa cria. In order to keep our herd from growing too large, Zoey will be for sale once we have an offspring from her in our herd. After this next cria is born, Zoey will be bred to one of Enchanted Hill's appaloosa herdsires. That should definitely give us some striking crias.
