Smokey is a very dark silver grey full Peruvian male. He is compact and has large bones in a smaller frame. He has wonderful density and fiber coverage from his nose to his toes. At 6 years of age, Smokey possesses a 22.6 fiber micron count. Smokey was sired by Maplewood Farm's blue ribbon fleece winner, Peruvian Pewter who is grey and has a micron of 16. Smokey's grandsire is CPeruvian Silvino and his great grandsire is PPeruvian Felix making him 1/8 Accoyo. Smokey's granddam PPeruvian Pandora was a Alianza import making him 1/4 Alianza as well. His first cria hit the ground in 2007 and we are happy with the results. To date, he has produced approximately 20 cria ranging in color from medium fawn to true black. He consistently throws cria with awesome coverage and very fine, bright fiber. At least half of his offspring have been grey or true black. When bred to a pattern female, he has always produced a cria with patterns. Smokey would be a great match for your females who are dense, but lack fineness. If you are looking for an awesome grey full Peruvian herdsire to add black and grey to your herd, look no further.... For more information and the schedule a breeding, contact Justin and Cara Stray at [email protected]. UPDATE: Smokey took 3rd for Get of Sire at the 2010 Best of the US Show in Columbus with his offspring Jolie Rouge (1st place in halter), d'Artagnan (6th place in halter) and Miss Rosco (5th place in halter). The judge commented on how all 3 offspring had similar fineness, staple length and brightness in their fiber.

Incan Alchemy is a fabulous light fawn, full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo proven herdsire. Alchemy is covered in bright crimpy bundles. His fiber exhibits uniformity in expression of crimp from his topknot to his toes. His coat also has excellent color uniformity. Alchemy's dam is Royal Peruvian Adelphi, a Royal Fawn daughter and full sister to Royal Apollo. She is an awesome producer of champions. Incan Alchemy carries on his mother's beautiful, stylish phenotype and outstanding fiber characteristics. Incan Alchemy has world class genetics on his sires side as well. He is sired by WLM Camillo who is sired by Caligula and his great grandsire is Peruvian Hemmingway. Last year, Alchemy produced our own Incan Alchemy's Peruvian Panacea a dark fawn male out of a DF dam. He exhibits many of his sire's wonderful characteristics. In 2011, Alchemy produced a tuxedo dark silver grey female out of a MSG dam, a true black female out of a TB dam, a light fawn female out of a BB dam, and a light brown male out of a modern DSG female. In 2012, Alchemy produced a tuxedo silver grey female out of a grey female, a true black male out of a grey female and a fawn female out of a fawn female. Alchemy has created quite an array of colors already! We offer a female cria guarantee. If you don't get a female cria, you can rebreed to Alchemy until you do. We may be interested in trading breedings, trading half interest or leasing him out as well. For more information and pics email us at [email protected] We have decided to offer Alchemy for sale. While he is one of the best males we have ever encountered and we feel very lucky to have him stand stud on our farm, we are moving in a different direction and it is time to share his outstanding characteristics with another farm. For more information, please call 616-550-4297 or email us at [email protected] Thank you to Nancy Schell of Walnut Hill Farm for purchasing Alchemy. We know he will fit perfectly into your grey and black breeding program! He definitely took our greys and blacks to the next level! Congrats!
