Stanley is the best alpaca on our farm bar none. Stanley's offspring are quickly making their presence felt in the show ring. Encore Alpacas Stanley daughter, Maya took First and Color Champion at the Indiana Invitational in Black! Lord Stanley is a 6X Color Champion and our signature herdsire. This Get of Sire winner has now produced Color Champions in 6 different Colors- White, Light, Fawn, Brown, Black and Multi. He is now only missing a grey color champion and he will have each and every color covered. His daughter Mirage has already won 8 Color Championships including an impressive Fawn Color Champion win at the Indiana Invitational Show (level V). His cria crop this year includes everything from white to black and we are hoping for a repeat performance in the ring this year. Stanley capped off his stellar show career with a First and Color Championship for fleece at MAPACA. In another notable performance at OABA, Stanley got the nod over his 1/2 brother who also has 6 Color Championships. Isn't sibling rivalry great? Stanley has inherited brightness, uniformity and a high frequency crimp from his sire, Conan, a nationally known herdsire that has recently passed. Currently Stanley has over 50 cria on the ground with more than a dozen on the way. He has produced an amazing number of champions relative to the number of cria on the ground. So far he has produced from white to black and a couple of multi's. He has tree trunks for legs and recently tipped the scales at 234 Lbs. To top it off he has a black face and black points. He even threw 2 blacks from white females. Stanley just sheared a remarkable 13.5 Lbs and is now available for moblie breeding.

Dam: Aliccoya Peruvian Marissa

Aliccoya Peruvian Marissa

HuacayaBred (Female)Beige
AOA# 848679DOB: 7/11/200321 yrs
Marissa is a very nice 3/4 Accoyo lineage female from Caligula, El Moustachio, and Hemingway bloodlines. This attractive female has the substance and bone for which the Accoyo line is known. Her crimpy fiber has very good density and consistency. Marissa delivered her first cria in 2005, a handsome beige male. As we expected, she delivered easily and has proven to be an excellent mother, just like her own dam, Mariposa. Marissa was not bred back right away as the male we selected to breed her to did not become available in 2005 as planned. When it became too late for a winter breeding, we made the decision to hold her open for rebreeding in 2006. She was rebred in July for a June 2007 cria...perfect timing for the Upper Peninsula. Marissa produced a beautiful beige female cria with charming "spunk" and personality! In 2008 Marissa produced a very pretty black female by Autumn Alpaca's Peruvian Lord Stanley, light brown, 6x Color Champion and multiple blue ribbon winner. As a juvenile, this youngster earned a Color Championship at her first show! Since we were delighted with the result of this match, we rebred Marissa to Stanley for a repeat. From this SAME BREEDING they produced a white male cria in 2009...go figure...genetics! Look for the listings of Marissa's crias, Mikayla, Maya, and Maestro on our sales list. EVERY FEMALE purchased from Avalon Farm is eligible for reduced price breedings to any solely owned AFA herdsire FOR HER BREEDING LIFE, regardless of owner.

Description

Marissa blessed her co-owners at Avalon Farm and Encore Alpacas with a beautiful girl for the second year in a row! But this year we were surprised when that daughter appeared with TRUE BLACK fiber! With crimp from her skin to her fiber tips, and coverage from her beautiful head to the tip of her toes, this little girl is SPECIAL! We are so pleased with her that we have re-bred her dam to Maya's sire, Autumn Alpacas' light brown, 6 X Color Champion herdsire, Peruvian Lord Stanley. Just as we suspected, Maya has proven to be a show quality alpaca. She has already won a Black Female Color Championship in her first show...the Level 5 Indiana Alpaca Invitational! Contact Encore Alpacas to make arrangements to see her, or visit her at the Michigan Breeders Show! All AE crias have been BVD-PCR tested negative.
