Finest fawn on the East Coast

Lancaster's Highland Chieftain

BIG NEWS!! Chieftain returned to the PAOBA Breedes Showcase with four offspring that took blue ribbons and TWO Championship banners! In 2009 Chieftain was the Color Champion at the PAOBA Breeders Showcase...and Judge's Choice! With a Color Champion in brown...the oldest one in the championship class...and a Reserve Champion in fawn...the youngest, Chieftain demonstrated he has color, fineness, and density covered. Did we mention he was also the Get of Sire winner...go Chieftain! Another Blue. Chieftain has a strong, square frame with soft, bright fiber everywhere. Want crimp? He has it from his top knot literally down to his knees! His dam is our finest fibered colored female and his sire is the legend-in-the-making Six time Color Champion Peruvian Lancaster. What a great match-up this was for color and fiber! Chieftain's numbers from his 2007 histogram are MOST impressive, and even more impressive is his ability to maintain those wonderful fiber stats. Chieftain has earned Blue ribbons and Banners as a juvenile, yearling, and mature male. With seventeen Blues he has been judged by just about everyone and all agree...this is one awesome male. Chieftain has proven his ability to maintain his outstanding fleece characteristics even as a breeding male. During the Spring 2009 show season, he added two Color Championships (PAOBA and MAPACA), one Reserve Color Championship (Nationals), and the Judge's Choice Award at PAOBA. Judge Mike Safley compared him to a juvenile for the Championship at MAPACA and declared him the finest in the class. What a great compliment for a three year old! This is a herdsire you will want to breed to both your dark and light colors for fineness, density, and crimp. Judges put him at the front of the line for his combination of fineness and density. Isn't that what it's all about? ADD ANOTHER BLUE IN 2011: Chieftain placed first once again at MAPACA...this time in the fleece show. No wonder. His fourth histogram was almost identical to his first histogram! That makes 18 Blues in halter and fleece classes. INTEREST FOR SALE Here is a rare opportunity to add a marquee male to your herd. We would love to give Chieftain the chance to broaden his exposure to other parts of the country. He has been a valuable asset to our breeding program and our farm income, and feel his show career and quality of offspring now warrant another farm to help promote him with marketing and offspring. A male of this caliber typically commands a much higher sales price, but with our decision to retire from the breeding and sales part of our business, Chieftain needs a new home to continue his legacy of outstanding production. If he meets your breeding needs, this could be the male that increases your farm exposure, creates income from breeding fees, or alleviates your own breeding costs.

Dam:

Black dam, Accoyo sire

Dorato's Peruvian Allegro

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 31544184DOB: 5/30/200915 yrs
We were hoping for a black cria out of this pairing, but the fleece on Allegro makes up for the change in color. Allegro’s fleece is dense, fine, crimped from tip to skin with a luster that brings a smile. She was a great candidate for a breeding with Crown Prince (our multiple blue ribbon gray) or Georgetown, a 4X banner winner with black fleece that is soft and dense. One half Accoyo, Allegro has incredible potential for whatever a breeder would like to do with color. She already brings to the table the popular benefits of black and gray genetics (from dam), and fawn Accoyo genetics (Legacy line). We picked Crown Prince for her first breeding and Allegro produced a fine fibered rose gray male out of Crown. We love it when breeding plans actually come to fruition! Rosen Cavalier has ribboned in three shows behind another Crown Prince offspring. Allegro was then bred to Lancaster's Highland Chieftain and delivered a beautiful light fawn female cria for us in May. Aria has already drawn the attention of judges in the show ring with her perfect conformation, outstanding fiber...and great look. Aria is such a nice female, we would suggest another breeding to Chieftain and expect another fabulous cria for 2016. We also have interest in our breeding males or herdsire quality younger males to include in a package. Our primary goal is to send our alpacas off to reputable breeders to insure their continued production success and health. If you have a need for upper end females, we have the females, the price, and the terms that will make your next one of quality and financial feasibility.

show girl

Description

Beautiful head, beautiful fiber, perfect conformation, and a lovely personality. This girl is a keeper for anyone's light...or dark breeding program. She is on our sales list as a representation of our breeding program and our efforts to reduce our herd size. Her dam is a blue ribbon winner out of Accoyo Principe Dorato and a black dam...hence Aria's great potential to be a gray producer...or a production female for a light program. Her fiber is that good. Not surprising since she is out of our Judge's Choice winner Lancaster's Highland Chieftain. Chieftain is that once in a lifetime home grown male who changes the breeding program of a farm. With blue ribbons in every age class and a strong production of banner and blue ribbon winners, he brings a lot to Aria's excellent qualities. A breeding is included in Aria's purchase price that can be used with her or any female you own. In an effort to facilitate our retirement sale, we are offering truly remarkable prices for packages of 2+ females, and have interest in our breeding males or herdsire quality younger males to include in a package. Our primary goal is to send our alpacas off to reputable breeders to insure their continued production success and health. If you have a need for upper end females, we have the females, the price, and the terms that will make your next one of quality and financial feasibility. Please inquire about package pricing for any of our sale alpacas.
