What a great producer this gal has been! She is of Australian/Chilean lineage, and she has produced multiple blue ribbon and color champion crias for us, many of whom remain here at Bella Vita for their genetic excellence. They have been a big part of our foundation herd. Cocoa Puffe has produced several silky style huacayas for us - Black Silk, Prosecco, and Perfect Storm, to name a few. We look so forward to her babies every year because they are so very stellar. We paid $16,000 for Chocolat when we first started in alpacas and have kept almost every one of her crias in our herd as foundation stock, and have sold her grandbabies and 1/2 interest in Prosecco and Corazon for sales of approximately $90,000 back to the ranch, so I think she has more than paid for herself. We have not seen Cocoa Puffe's pedigree in any other alpacas in the US (there may be a few, but they would be very rare), and Cocoa Puffe was a maiden when she came to us, pregnant with her first cria (Chocolat). She would be one we would have considered harvesting eggs from for IVF were it readily available and at a younger age for her. Cocoa Puffe produces crias who exhibit strong bone, complete fleece coverage that is dense, crimpy and fine. She had produced several black cria. Cocoa Puffe herself is light brown with black points and covered head to toes in dense fleece. She has a very laid back personality and is easy to handle. She is currently bred to Semper Fi for a June 2016 cria. Although she is an older female, she is still very healthy and reproductively sound.

Voo Doo Magic of FRA

HuacayaJr. Herdsire (Male)True Black
DOB: 8/15/201212 yrs
Voo Doo is part of our champion retirement package and also part of the black subgroup package that we would separate out of the total retirement package as a separate offering. We will consider smaller packages as well, along with Voo Doo as a solo sale. We are also contemplating auction entries for 2016, and he is in consideration, so if you have an interest, get him now before he is possibly consigned. Voo Doo Magic comes from two stellar parents. Patagonia's Vinson Massif (Lennox son) is a beautiful male with fine, extremely dense fleece, which Voo Doo inherited. Voo Doo's dam, GNLC BooKoo, is a stellar true black female, daughter of Snowmass Nova's Inca x GNLC Quicksilver. These deep color genetics have been passed to true black Voo Doo Magic. He, like his dam, is the true deep blue/black color without any brown tipping or sun fading. Voo Doo Magic has grown quickly, exhibiting a stout frame. That frame carries very dense, fine, bright fleece with zipper crimp style. Voo Doo has earned 4 championships in both halter and fleece, and has maintained fineness with a 21.4 micron 3-year-old fleece with a comfort factor still at 95.7% (fibers less than 30 4.3%) and CV of 21.2%/SD 4.5 micron. First babies will arrive in 2016 as we have multiple females spitting off. We offer Voo Doo as one of our leading males in our retirement package. See our package deals on Openherd for more information about our other stellar alpacas, including the 9 other alpacas in the black group that could be combined with Voo Doo.

Description

A rare opportunity to purchase one of our foundation females who has been a major reason for our success. This lovely lady is the daughter of our senior dam, Cocoa Puffe. Chocolat has produced multiple champion offspring, and she herself has won blue ribbons at the level V GWAS and AOBA National shows. Her fleece has also won blue ribbons with comments about the minimum presence of guard hair from the judges who have awarded her blue ribbons. She is a proven dam, producing multiple black cria. She is a maternal sister to our 8x color champion herdsire, El Corazon`. A few examples of Chocolat's cria are true black Lady Raven (sold to Safe Haven Farm at auction), true black Mezzenotte (champion female purchased at auction by Red Granite Ranch), and Angelina, multichampion female purchased off the farm. Still on the farm is her 2014 female cria, Booja Booja, by Tuscan Black. Although Chocolat is 11, she is still very healthy and reproductively sound. She is bred to Voo Doo Magic for a July 2016 cria.
