AOA# 30405943DOB: 10/2/200519 yrs
Pedigree: Mondavi's sire, Patagonia's Neruda a Shackleton son, carries not only the black genetics we sought but unique phenotypic qualities seen in few Alpacas. Mondavi's dam, Patagonia's Chic brought Caballero Andante with strong black genetics. Progeny: 2009 Raven Night.... ..AFD=21.86...SD=4.82 TB @ 19 months. 2010 Matahota..........AFD=20.3,...SD=4.5 DB @ 23 months. 2010 Iohitika............AFD=23.4.....SD=4.5 TB @ 60 months. 2010 Iyota Sapa.........AFD=25.8....SD=4.75 TB @ 24 months. 2011 Ozela...............AFD=22.9.....SD=5.1 DB @ 24 months. 2011 Heyun Sapa.......AFD=22.7....SD=4.5 TB @ 24 months. 2012 Iglaspa.............AFD=19.39...SD=4.16 TB @ 36 months. 2013 Hanblecheyapi ..AFD=18.3....SD=3.7 BB @ 24 months. 2013 Uta.................AFD=20.5....SD=5.6 MF @ 36 months. 2014 Iyunka.............AFD=19.5....SD=5.0 MB @ 24 months. 2015 Okpaza Etanhan AFD=18.6..SD=4.5 TB @ 9 months. Some of these cria have established some nice show statistics already. We would be motivated selling Mondavi having taken advantage of his genetics on our farm and needing additional room. Consider how he would fit in your program and let's see if we can come to an understanding. We are very motivated and this provides opportunity to a proven high value male from a proven breeding program - Alpacas de la Patagonia and Greenbriar Farm.

MAMGB Wiyaka (Wee-Yah'-Kah) "Feather Down"

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 31756426DOB: 7/9/200915 yrs
MAMGB Wiyaka means Feather Down in Lakota. This name was well earned due to her fleece which is as soft as feather down. She has many crimp per inch, and density. Her blanket characteristics are uniform and carry into her legs, tail, and topknot. Recently assessed she had no guard hair! Pedigree. On the dams side is Knighthawk of KPR, Johnson S112, and The Kings Ransom. The sire is Cresent Moon Velocity, Cresent Moon Valentino, and Danko. Conformation. Her neck, body, and legs are in proportion to each other. She has a great frame on strong legs and an excellent bite. Fleece. AFD=23.2 and SD=5.9 with the average between the Min and Max of 3.55 demonstrates the consistency in what we see in her fleece. Combine this with her staple length and you end up with a lot of nice fleece. Disposition. Wiyaka has always been a mild mannered young lady with high energy. Today we see her developing into a reserved matron who knows her place in the herd. She is so relaxed that working with her is a joy. Even when pregnant she is tolerant of handling and just gets a little more stand-off-ish. She is BVD tested negative, has received her CD&T vaccinations, AVID chipped, and ARI registered. Georgia Meyer of Silver Creek Alpaca sorted and graded Wiyaka. She was impressed with her fleece and stated, "nice, uniform, most versatile for yarn, socks, and knitwear." She graded her WL-3 with 6 out of 10 brightness, 5 of 10 uniformity of crimp, 6 crimp / inch, medium amplitude with a density of 8 out of 10. She graded the fleece dark fawn. She delivered stunning medium to dark brown or dark fawn female September 6th, 2014 - Iyunka! She delivered stunning dark brown to bay black female June 18, 2016 - Uome. She delivered a stunning bay black/black male June 23, 2020 - Phesniza. We are retiring Wiyaka from our Reserved Breeding Program and are now seeking a farm that would like solid improvement in their production.

Description

The immediate observation was the amount of fleece on this frame. We have never felt a cria that carried enough fiber to mask the frame underneath. The next observation is the curls, and followed by the softness and even texture. Last is the robust frame this little girl possesses. She has developed into an attractive young maiden. October 5th, 2015 I had an occasion to put hands on her for some minor husbandry and was impressed with the soft hand to her fiber. Usually while fleece grows and is short it feels stiff. That is not the case with Bobby Jo. It is soft, flexible, and has a lotion like feel while being a very reflective black. August 7, 2017 she delivered a dandy fawn boy. He is huge, robust, and really really fleecy! Sire is SHVN The Buccaneer.
