Champion Female, Andean Gold Daughter

Sunset Hills Tickled Pink

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 30653566DOB: 8/1/200717 yrs
Congrats to Future Alpacas Farm for their purchase of Tickled Pink!!! Tickled Pink is out of Sunset Hills Ivory and Sunset Hills Andean Gold. These are two of Sunset Hills very best lines and they proved their worth in this female. Sunset Hills Ivory Dam is Contessa (Caligula line) whose cria can never seem to be kept at SHF because everyone instantly falls in love with them and Sunset Hills Andean Gold who is a multi-halter Champion who has won many top ribbons for his fleece as well, including the prestigious, “Spirit of the Fiber Industry Award” winning over every other colored fleece at the AOBA Nationals 2006. An even more impressive feat may be that Andean took the brown Color Championship along with the Judges Choice Award at the 2011 Buckeye show at almost 9 years of age. Now that's what you call lingering fineness and crimp structure. He is undoubtedly one of the finest fibered herdsires from Sunset Hills, and that's saying something!!! So, Tickled Pink has the best of both of these parents with her beautiful and feminine conformation and her very narrowly crimped fleece which is dense and well organized throughout her blanket. And as for coverage, Tickled Pink is covered from her teddy bear-like ears to her toes! She has been a great producer (just look at some of her cria's fleece shots) Micron Info - Tickled Pink's Sire, Andean Gold's 2012 micron was 21.8-3.6-16.6-2.7....Amazing numbers for a breeding male that is all most 10 years old!!! And Tickled Pink is following in his footsteps with a 21.4 micron at 5 years of age!!!

Description

Congratulations to Stephanie Glyptis, the new owner of Cora!!! Cora is a beautiful medium fawn female that has great confirmation which compliments her compact, feminine frame. Cora had the curliest fleece when she was born, and that fleece has progressed beautifully as time has gone on. She has a beautiful crimp style with a great staple length, not to mention she has exceptional fineness and density. And that fleece goes from her fuzzy ears all the way down to her tippy toes. Cora is a multi blue ribbon winning female who has full Accoyo 6 X Champion Craftsman as her Sire. On her Dams side she has 8 X banner winning Sunset Hills Andean Gold who among his many awards, won a judges choice award at almost 9 years of age. To make this lot even more exciting, Cora is being bred to the marquee male of the Royal Progeny Alpaca Auction…Alpaca Palace’s Houdini. We have found from experience that Houdini crosses extremely well with Andean Gold bloodlines which means that, Cora’s 2017 cria should be one for the ages!!! To see Cora and all the other wonderful lots (Especially Lot #39 - Autumn Illusion) at the Royal Progeny Auction check out the Auction Website. http://www.silverpennsales.com/upcoming-events/royal-progeny-alpaca-auction A few years ago I named one of my little female crias after my first niece Sabrina. Well I was blessed with a second niece named Braelyn Cora Best...So as long as I keep having new nieces to pay homage to, this alpaca naming thing is easy.
