PROPHECY'S EPDS ARE IN THE TOP percentages OF ALL MALE ALPACAS IN THE NATION! Colusa Riverside Alpacas is proud to have integrated this boy's genetics into our herd, Bluegrass Peruvian Prophecy from Stargazer Alpacas. Prophecy brings to Colusa Riverside those EPD production genetics for our customers in California and beyond. He is 9 year old and still has an AFD of 23. We now have several progeny from Prophecy and true to EPD predictions, they all have the expected improvement in fineness and other positive traits this herdsire contributed to each pairing. Prophecy's River Phoenix, his first male progeny, has 4 fiber traits in the AOA 1% Club. Prophecy also has been sustaining his own fiber fineness from year to year. Unlike many farms we do fiber analysis every year, we want studs who maintain their fineness. Be cautious of those farms that only give fiber histograms for their studs when they were very young. Breeding to Prophecy is a guarantee you will obtain the improvement in your offspring you want, no guesswork, no chances, just predictable fiber improvement based upon reliable statistical genetic inheritance. Out of 14,637 male alpaca tested by ARI, Prophecy's genetic fiber predictability (EPD) was better than 98% of all others tested. With the right pairing of a dam from your ranch, Prophecy could produce a member of the EPD 1% Club of your own. Prophecy's breeder described his fiber as having great staple length, bundling architecture and uniform character down his thighs and shoulder to his knees. He is extremely fine. Prophecy's pedigree lists foundation Accoyos both top and bottom. Accoyos Sicuani, Vengador, Pucara and Felix contribute generations of density, staple length and uniformity. In addition to staple length, Hemingway is in his lineage and is widely known for passing on fineness that many Accoyos may lack. An important value in EPD determination is the level of accuracy. All of Prophecy's EPDs carry a high degree of accuracy, probably some of the highest accuracy values in the database. Prophecy has his first & second crop of offspring on the ground this year and each show impeccable conformation, health, bites and fiber quality. FOR THE DISCERNING E.P.D. Beautiful dense fiber

Cheveyo's Harmony

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 31346344DOB: 3/13/201014 yrs
If you want a sweet female as a pet or for her beautiful fiber, Harmony is priced to sell for that purpose. Don't think that her quality is not good, because she is a well bred female alpaca. Harmony is a proven dam, but milk production was not what it should have been. Her first cria is a wonderful offspring, but growth was less than expected given her milk production was below normal. For this reason, Harmony is priced very low and we would love for her to go to a good home. You could choose to breed her and she may as a proven dam have no problems with her next cria, but because we don't sell any animals with even the potential to have problems without identifying those issues and pricing our livestock commensurate with potential problems. Harmony is easy to handle, halter trained and well nourished. Harmony would be wonderful around children or if your a spinner, her fiber is some of the most beautiful we have on the ranch. Her staple length and color would make for beautiful yarn. Description

Nemo was named after the little fish who could do anything the bigger fish could do. Nemo is the cutest little man on the farm. He is personality plus. We don't know what happened with Nemo during gestation but he was born very small and has continued to grow normally but is very small. We have had a number of animals out of his father with offspring of size and beauty so we believe Nemo was just a unusual outcome of what should have been a normal breeding. We did breed his Mom at a very young age which could have been a reason for an abnormal gestation, but regardless, we got Nemo and he is a wonderful little doll of an alpaca. He is healthy with normal growth and development just undersized. He could be considered a mini alpaca. Nemo will make a wonderful pet or small fiber animal. His fiber is luxurious, fine and of good quality. To give you an idea of his size the picture to the right is at 7 months and the white alpaca with him is one week old. We really would like Nemo to have a hood home who will not use him for breeding. We would recommend neutering Nemo and would certainly arrange for that procedure should you decide to buy little Nemo. Nemo is a chow hound and can find his way to the feed bin regardless of how his friends in the pasture push him around. If we were to find a good home for Nemo we would consider a companion sale animal to keep Nemo company with this sale. This little man would make children a great pet. He is extremely friendly and curious.
