AOA# 303557DOB: 9/17/200519 yrs
This multiple Blue Ribbon winner has everything we want in a herdsire: crimp, fineness, bundling and density, and the judges agree. He has Caligula bloodlines from his Sire's side and Peruvian Snowmaster from his Dam's side. Snowmass Highland Belle, his Dam, took First Place in Produce of Dam at the Great Western Alpaca Show 2006 by showing her two sons, Stewart's St. John and the Invincible Nathaniel. St. John is an outstanding addition to our herd and started his breeding career in 2009. He has settled 2 females and his first cria is due in Fall 2010. He is available for outside breedings at Stone Bluff Farm at the introductory price of $800. We offer drive by breedings or 60 days free board for your female if you choose to leave her on our farm and full reproductive guarantees. Please call us for more information or to schedule your breeding. Fleece sample available upon request.

Stone Bluff's Invincible Reina

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 30713352DOB: 9/22/200618 yrs
Reina is a daughter of the famous Snowmass Invincible who took the White Male Championship at the 2003 Futurity. She is the 2nd alpaca to be born on our farm and we are very proud of her rich medium fawn color and her superb fleece characteristics. She is very friendly and curious, easy to handle and loves to interact with both alpacas and people. Reina gave birth to her first cria in April 2009, a beautiful white female with soft, dense fleece and fawn spots on her neck. Her name is April Showers and you can view her on her own listing. Reina is currently bred to our Blue Ribbon Winning Herdsire, Stewarts St. John for a November 2010 cria. With her combination of powerful genetics and superb fleece characteristics we expect her to be a great asset to any farm who wants to take their breeding program to the next level. Please call us for more information on how you can own this very fine production female. Flexible financing available.

Description

Wills died 1/18/2014. He acted the clown all the way up to the end, always the caring gentleman. William is a promising young herdsire with superfine fleece and beautiful coloring. Though white at birth, his rosy grey fiber gets darker and more pronounced with each shearing. Regarding conformation, Prince William has a strong frame and has had straight legs since birth, with great coverage that goes all the way down to his toes. His first cria is a lovely little girl with bright, soft, curly fleece. So far we know that she has inherited some of his spots, with two fawn patches on her tail and one on the crest of her head. Whether she's inherited his developing-grey, only time will tell. Names in Prince William's pedigree on his sire's side include: Xanadu P Placido ('06 MOPACA Get of Sire), Snowmass Highland Bell ('06 Great Western Alpaca Show Produce of Dam), Snowmaster, Presidio, and Caligula. On his dam's side: Invincible, Legacy, Pendragon of Peru (placed 1st at AOBA '00 and 2nd at Futurity '02), Hemingway, and Camelot. As for color, William’s sire has thrown colored &/or patterned cria five times out of six, and his dam’s heritage is speckled with browns and blacks. And if you’re interested in producing grey, although there aren't any readily noticeable greys in his lineage, both his maternal uncle and half-sister are greys. From what I've found on the ARI website, William is one of only three Invincible grandsons registered as grey, and one of five registered grey Snowmaster Great-Grandsons. 2015 EPD Results and accuracy: AFD -0.922; 0.235 SDAFD -0.262; 0.235 %F>30 -4.598; 0.252 MC 1.542; 0.224 MSL 1.344; 0.189 FW 0.392; 0.165 Personality wise, William is a gentle and mellow soul. He's very good about picking up his feet for trimming and stands calmly for shots. AND he's an easy leader - during National Alpaca Farm Days he participated in every obstacle course session, allowing the kids to lead him over a bridge, jumps, and through some weaving poles with both patience and enthusiasm. UPDATE: After some research (through Northwest Alpacas's and Openherd's import records) and calculation it turns out that William is a little over 1/4th accoyo, 9/32 to be exact - assuming Snowmaster's sire was accoyo - and a little over 1/3rd Alianza, 11/32 technically.
