New Modern Grey Bloodlines!

WRSR Peruvian Coalossus

SuriHerdsire (Male)Dark Silver Grey
AOA# 31878760DOB: 11/9/200915 yrs
What a surprise when he was born! Out popped what appeared to be a light fawn cria with speckling, but he was light silver grey at the skin! His dam is one of our top foundation dams, and the dam of WRSR Accoyo Razor, DDF Mulan, a 1/2 Accoyo Bruxo daughter. While Mulan produces color when bred to color, we were surprised at getting a modern silver grey, since this is the first grey cria for multiple black champion Allegheny Peruvian King Coal. Coalossus has a beautiful drapey, slick high luster fleece, and has darkened each shearing until he is now a uniform dark silver gray color. He has a beautiful suri phenotype head and great proportions of the neck, back, and legs. His fiber has very uniform locks that drape beautifully, even on the regrowth. It has a wonderful hand, and lays close to the body. Afraid of loftiness? Coalossus' fleece is "teflon" slick - it easily shed debris and dirt, even crumpled leaves, hay, and grass. This is a great opportunity to either purchase or breed to a NEW grey appy bloodline. He is not related to Condor, Gunsmoke, Magnifico, Silver Heat, Mercury Rising, Silver King, Manitou, Baranoff, Seattle Mist, Platinum Marquis, nor any other grey/grey appy. Go for the grey, and introduce Coalossus this spring to your grey females that are out of Condor and Magnifico bloodlines. Coalossus has done well in the show ring, always placing in the top 3. His 2012 Suri Network All Sure Spin-off entry won 1st place and a score of 94 points! Coalossus has settled his first female on his first breeding! He is a good breeder and is easy on the females. He now has 3 cria on the ground, grey, maroon, and fawn - all very nice! His daughter WRSR Pepper Dot by Coalossus was awarded 1st Place at the Carolina Alpaca Show! She is the same beautiful color as her sire. If you are purchasing a breeding in the auction, the breeding is for a "drive-by" breeding. Your female can stay resident at the farm for $5.00 per day while being bred and getting a confirmation via ultrasound. He is offered for sale. Free transport in continental US with a cash payment! Amazing grey fleece!

Winchester's Wild Rose Patches

SuriOpen (Female)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 30685130DOB: 7/1/200717 yrs
What a surprise! Patches popped out as a light fawn with some speckles and spots, but by the time she was 6 months old, her topline was showing a beautiful light grey. She has been a winner from day 1, and dominates the fleece shows with her fineness and uniformity. Patches is a 3X Fleece Champion at the largest suri shows in the country, and was even awarded 1st Place at the 2009 AOBA World Fleece Show. She produces a uniform grey fleece with notable fineness and consistency. The color is a beautiful bronzed silver grey, and is gorgeous when spun into yarn. Patches is a smaller female, weighing only 130 lb in good condition. However, she births easily, has lots of milk, is a great mother, and is truly a treasured foundation dam for Wild Rose. Patches delivered a beautiful harlequin cria in 2014, WRSR Pepper Dot by Coalossus, and as she turned 1 year old, her fleece grew out a dark silver grey. She still has spots on her face and legs, making her very showy and flashy, just like her mom, Patches. Patches was bred to Shasta Springs Fusion and delivered a beautiful appy male cria, WRSR JackKnife by Fusion, on August 5, 2016. He has beautiful distinct dark fawn spots on a silver grey base - gorgeous! She was bred to Fusion for a May 2018 cria, and delivered another stunning appaloosa female on 6/6/18, "WRSR Sweet Spot by Fusion". She looks very similar to Pepper Dot and is a light silver grey with spots. Patches was been rebred to Fusion for a May 2022 cria and we were excited to see a beautiful dark harlequin appy males, WRSR Zanzibar by Fusion. Patches was retired from breeding in the fall of 2022. She has produced beautiful crias and been an exceptional suri alpaca with a sweet personality. Contact Patti at 443-740-4240 for more information or to schedule a visit to see the alpaca.

Description

The birth of Pepper Dot was greatly anticipated, hoping for a beautiful modern grey suri. We were blessed with not only a female, but one that was destined to turn a beautiful dark rose or dark silver grey. It has been fun to watch as each week her fleece would grow out darker and darker, as did her sire's and her dam's. She will be an beautiful dark silver grey when she is shorn this year, with stunning appaloosa "dots" remaining on her face, legs, and under tail areas. Pepper Dot has an amazing friendly personality and likes attention. She is the first to greet you, and is very curious. She has been a favorite on the farm and at the shows because of her heartwarming charm.
