This is it folks – he is the LAST full accoyo suri male out of the 6P import still alive.. and with his limited use – that makes him RARE and his offspring likely to be as RARE! We are beyond thrilled to add Chachapoya to our herdsire lineup. He is going to bring a DEPTH of character to our fleeces AND give us some breathing room on our pedigrees! Of particular interest to Derwydd is his ability to throw color all the way to DARK.. With 2 fawn Full Accoyo Herdsires in our lineup that can also throw black - well the potential here is incredibly exciting! We will have females bred to him and females with Chach crias at side, and some stunning crias for sale next year... hmmm you might like to inquire about who in our foundation lineup we are breeding him to also! We co-own this stunning male with Pucara International and Alpacas of El Dorado. He IS the newest member of C.A.S.H. - California Accoyo Suri Herdsires! At his age he displays amazing luster, cover and handle, good bone, a stunning head, and perfectly correct confirmation....oh, and a willingness to work like a true macho...he has what we call constitutional vigor! And what a depth of color he carries! Over 60 crias (which means his genetics are still a rarity), and throwing White, Beige, Fawn and Brown! The cria we have from “Chach” are displaying all the suris traits, that we admire, in abundance. The luster is outstanding, the coverage is to the ground, the heads are regal with that Suri beard we all love, the density is way above average, but what really makes them stand out is the pencilling. The independence is incredible. There you have it...a full Accoyo boy producing heaps of color often darkening the cria from the dam's color and with Suri style that discerning breeders applaud. From our partners at Pucara: "And how things evolve! We first discovered Chachapoya back in 2006 at the International Alpaca Odyssey, in Laughlin, Nevada. Jill Bergman who breeds some of the best suris in the country won the white female championship with this gorgeous female that was the daughter of Chachapoya. We hunted him down and visited him in Ohio. He took our breath away. We also thought he looked the spitting image of the famous Peruvian Inca of Latah Creek fame. No chance of a purchase as Mike Barnhart had stitched that up. But now, 5 years later, Chachapoya makes his debut at Pucara International. We're licking our chops thinking what he can do with the Kahuna daughters. He'll get our best females." YUP I think Chach is going to lite a rocket in the Derwydd's Suri breeding program - DANG we are excited about this! Give us a call or email and ask about females bred to Chach, potential crias forthcoming from the Derwydd foundation girls - or just to say hi and CONGRATS!

Dam: Q'ORIANKA

One of our most celebrated females-ever!

Q'ORIANKA

SuriOpen (Female)White
AOA# 30037815DOB: 9/15/200618 yrs
SHE'S STILL GOT IT--check out her EPDs below! We couldn't believe our good fortune to win Q'orianka at the AOBA Nationals Show Auction in 2008. Her list of winnings was impressive, and continued to grow to be one of our most impressive "resumes" ever! She has beautiful locking (took "Best Lock" at the 2009 MAPACA show, at 3 years of age!) and luster on a very solid, compact frame. Q'orianka has been an excellent mother to her crias, each of whom has an impressive show career. One of the things I like about Q'orianka is that she has a calm, level headed personality. She's traveled all over the country for shows, and she takes it all in stride. She has been an excellent "auntie" when she has been needed to be a companion to a new mother--she helps nurture the cria (and she appreciates the extra food!) Why do we have Q'orianka listed for sale? We have way too many alpacas on our farm and we simply cannot do the breeding that we would like to do. I feel bad every time I look at this wonderful female--she ought to be breeding and producing outstanding crias on a regular basis. We simply can't use her until we drop our population! Q'orianka is on our farm in the north San Francisco Bay area, Alpacas of Marin.

Description

Well, you can't go wrong with our Quechua Warrior...He's the son of our legendary multi-champion, half-Accoyo female, Q'orianka. His sire is the illustrious Accoyo import, 6P Chachapoya (co-owned by Pucara International, Derwydd Alpacas, and Alpacas of El Dorado)! Quechua Warrior has beautiful luster, and well-defined penciled locks with excellent density--both his parents contribute to that. He has a nice sturdy frame at barely one year of age, and he'll "muscle out" in the year to come. Unfortunately, Warrior passed away at 16 months of age, but we leave him on the "active" list as a tribute to his dam and sire, as well as in tribute to the beautiful young male that he was.
