Thank you to Sleeping Monk Farm Alpacas and Stonewall Fields Alpacas for your purchase of this striking Rincon Cloud daughter. I know she will make us proud in your breeding program. Wow was all I could say when Maggie delivered her Rincon Daughter. This young lady is gorgeous with an awesome head, and her sire's size of bone & extreme fiber coverage. We named her Brooklyn Roads, and she is going to be one to watch. Her fleece is a yummy espresso brown which is maturing to that deep taupey rose grey, very bright, with uniform micron & character, and excellent density. Maggie's kids are always among our best, and Brooklyn appears to be no exception. She has that "look at me" presence, and is always camera ready. Brooklyn hit the show road in 2010 with a bang, drawing rave reviews from judges and other breeders. In the words of AlpacaMania judge Ken Hibbits, "This female has perfect conformation, and moves with elegance and free moving gait. She has a true to type head, and overall balance and perfect proportion." Her deep dark rose grey fleece keeps the color checkers challenged, but we know with the solid grey/black pedigree of Rincon and Steele Magnolia, Brooklyn will be a stellar addition in the grey breeding arena. Brooklyn's spring appearance at the level IV CABA Classic brought lots of attention, and spectacular results. Placing first in her yearling full fleece halter class, she turned many heads, and snagged the Reserve Grey Female Color Championship to add to her awards list. She took it all in stride, with style and grace to make her dam line proud.

Description

Planning the first breeding for modern rose grey Brooklyn Roads took much thought. Out of the Color Champion Silver Grey genetics of her dam, Steele Magnolia, and sire Rincon Cloud, we knew we had a packed tuxedo grey pedigree. We chose to breed her to a solid tuxedo grey, and hope for the stars to align to get back to silver offspring. Well, this lovely female is exactly what we were hoping for. Meet Dolly Madison, the third and last cria to grace Stonyridge pastures in 2012. She is a stunning youngster in a gorgeous dark grey tuxedo coat. Perfect conformation, bright, crimpy fleece, and precocious personality, Madison like her namesake is a strong, confident girl and definitely holding her own against the older boys in the cria crowd. Pedigree: If you are looking for solid grey genetics this young lady has them in spades. Her pedigree is filled with names of proven, predictable producers. Danko, Crescent Moon's Rayo Del Sol, Hannaruh, Peruvian Felix, Aussie Rockford, Michelangelo, Camana's Snowy River, Rincon Cloud, Peaceful Valley Grace, Steele Magnolia, Stonyridge Brooklyn Roads and of course Silver Charm! Everyone of these ancestors in Madison's power packed pedigree were Color Champions in their own right or have produced Color Champion offspring. Her sire, Lanark's Silver Charm, has infused the breeding programs of many successful breeders focusing on grey, and he is most notably known for his dense, soft fleece with lingering fineness. With our industry cutting its teeth on the expanding fiber industry, we feel strongly that this is a trait we need to maintain. Charm unfortunately died in the winter of 2011 so Madison is among a select group of his final offspring. She will be part of the 2013 show team, and is going to be a keystone foundation girl for a breeding program focused on quality grey alpacas.
