Sire: Patagonia's Neruda
1150070<--ari-->Dark Silver Gre<--color--> Dark Silver Grey, 814613
We bought Patagonia's Neruda at the 2007 Futurity Show and Sale and he is now part of our group of elite Herdsires. His previous owners at Alpacas de la Patagonia considered him one of their top three herdsires. Patagonia reserved those herdsires for client use only and as a result, outside breedings to Neruda have ALWAYS been restricted. He was "a cornerstone of their black and grey breeding program" giving them their "FINEST black and grey fleeces that are virtually free of medullated fiber". At 8 years of age his histogram is 23.1m/5.3sd/22.9cv/9.2%>30. Neruda's crias are easily identifiable by their extremely fine fleeces, beautiful heads, substantially thick bone and extensive fiber coverage. With more than 120 crias on the ground, Neruda has proven that when bred to black or grey females, 96% of the resulting offspring have been black or grey in color.
Neruda's sire Shackleton, a black male brought from Chile, was for many years one of the finest fleeced males found in<--description-->
Service Sire: QR Principio's Grand Slam
1150070<--ari-->Beige<--color-->Before he even hit the ground, we knew that this little guy was special. His beautiful head was obvious from the moment it appeared, still in the sac. His sire is the undefeated AML El Duro's Principio and his dam is a lovely light fawn Jericho daugher. What genetics!
Grand Slam is extremely dense and fine with a silky handle which carries zipper crimp right to the tips. Check out his amazing fiber stats below. His square body type and strong bone are striking and he carries himself upright with great pride and attitude.
In his first show, the NorthEast Alpaca Expo, Grand Slam placed 2nd in a class of 14 light fawn juvies. Amanda VandenBosch commented that it was a very difficult class to judge due to the amazing quality of the entries. Grand Slam also brought home the 2nd Place in the Produce of Dam class for his mother , Carmela, showing with his dark brown yearling half sister, Quarry Ridge Marimba.
Grand Slam was awarded the blue ribbon in another very large class at the Empire Extravaganza,Amanda VandenBosch judging.You can see his amazing record below. A little maturity should do him well in the show ring this Spring.
We are offering limited outside breedings at $1500.

Minnie Pearl is a beautiful light silver gray female with only one tiny black spot on her hip. Her fleece is still fine and soft and her conformation and bite are correct. She is the daughter of renowned Patagonia's Neruda who is known for the lasting fineness of his own fleece and the fleeces of his offspring.
Pearl has delivered 2 crias, both silver gray, and is an excellent mother, calm and attentive to her babies. She has tons of milk and her crias grow out well. Her '08 cria, QR Plum Blossom, was a blue ribbon winner at the North American Alpaca Show in 2009.
Pearl is bred to QR Principio's Grand Slam, winner of 5 banners and 9 blue ribbons. We also offer an additional breeding for Pearl to the Quarry Ridge herdsire of your choice.
UPDATE:Pearl delivered a Beautiful MRG boy named RUMBLE STIP. You can view his picture to the right and if you are interested in this little boy or a package with his mother, Please just give us a call.
We are so happy with the results that we got the first time breeding Grand Slam to Pearl, so we decided to do it again.
