Before he even hit the ground, we knew that this little guy was special. His beautiful head was obvious from the moment it appeared, still in the sac. His sire is the undefeated AML El Duro's Principio and his dam is a lovely light fawn Jericho daughter. What genetics! Grand Slam is extremely dense and fine with a silky handle which carries zipper crimp right to the tips. Check out his amazing fiber stats below. His square body type and strong bone are striking and he carries himself upright with great pride and attitude. He carries amazing density, shearing off 12 or 13 lbs. every year. Grand Slam has been extremely successful in the show ring, bringing home 5 championship banners and 9 blue ribbons. Grand Slam's crias range in color from light fawn to bay black with a rose gray thrown in for good measure. All of the crias have outstanding conformation and dense, bundling fleece. Even at 10 years old, Grand Slam is a standout in the field. He carries his solid frame and classic head with pride, even a touch of arrogance. Yet he is easy to work with. Congratulations to Beverly Woody Ham of Two Crowns Farm Alpacas. We are so happy that Grand Slam will be back with his buddy Centennial.

QR Minnie Pearl

HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Silver Grey
AOA# 1150070DOB: 6/4/200420 yrs
Minnie Pearl is a beautiful light silver gray female with only one tiny black spot on her hip. Her fleece is still fine and soft and her conformation and bite are correct. She is the daughter of renowned Patagonia's Neruda who is known for the lasting fineness of his own fleece and the fleeces of his offspring. Pearl has delivered 2 crias, both silver gray, and is an excellent mother, calm and attentive to her babies. She has tons of milk and her crias grow out well. Her '08 cria, QR Plum Blossom, was a blue ribbon winner at the North American Alpaca Show in 2009. Pearl is bred to QR Principio's Grand Slam, winner of 5 banners and 9 blue ribbons. We also offer an additional breeding for Pearl to the Quarry Ridge herdsire of your choice. UPDATE:Pearl delivered a Beautiful MRG boy named RUMBLE STIP. You can view his picture to the right and if you are interested in this little boy or a package with his mother, Please just give us a call. We are so happy with the results that we got the first time breeding Grand Slam to Pearl, so we decided to do it again.

Description

HE IS A GENETIC POWERHOUSE. WHO'S WHO IN THE ALPACA WORLD. Let's start with his father: 5 time Reserve Champion and multiple blue ribbon Winner, QR Principio's Grand Slam. Everyone knows that name. AML Principio, 13 Champion winner out of the multiple champion winner AML Legacy's El Duro. One more generation back and, yes, it is Peruvian Legacy himself. What we forgot to mention is that his Grandmother, Majestic Peruvian Carmela, who is out of the one and only MFI JERICHO. You can not ask for better lineage on this side of the family. Oorah's Mother is out of royalty herself. Her father is the one and only Patagonia's Neruda. Not to mention his grandmother was out of Danko and one of the best females on Patagonia's farm, Geisha. As one can see, this little guy has it all. We also forgot to say that his full brother who sold at under a year of age was Medium Silver Gray. This little boy has the potential for gray and fawn. If you are a genetic junky, this guy is for you. We are listing Oorah for sale since we own his father and mother. Oorah took a red at his first show at the North American Alpaca Show at only 7 months of age in a very competitive class. Congratulations to Lilymoore Farm on your purchase of Oorah. We are happy that he is going to such a great home.
