Our breeding goals have changed since we bought this boy and we aren't using him like we expected. We hate to see him languish in our herd when someone else could put him to good use. He produces nice cria, with lots of density and nice crimp... and to date most have been girls! This is your chance to take advantage of a great New Years special! Legend comes out of the amazing Snowmass breeding program. His sire is the AOBA World Black Fleece Champion, Snowmass Sterling Legend. Sterling Legend's 5 year fleece was still in the 16 micron range. Legend's pedigree is heavy with black and grey. And his fleece is no slouch either! With a micron count of 18.3 in his third year, his fineness is holding nicely. In fact his 2013 EPDs are stellar! With an AFD of -1.739 and a ranking in the top 2.5% he can make a big impact on our breeding program and yours! Legend has numerous cria on the ground now with more on the way. Of these cria, more than half are girls! Check out some of their pix... we are confident that his cria will be knockouts! So far he's produced gray when bred to gray and fawn/light when bread to like dams. While we wait for them to grow, we've continued to offer his breedings at an introductory price of $750. But that price will likely rise. Get your breedings now and take advantage of the low price and his great genetics! Legend has excellent conformation with a square profile, straight legs, correct bite and a wooly top knot. In addition to the fineness, he has a very dense fleece, as you would expect of a Snowmass alpaca. His fleece is also bright and silky, soft with a moderate amplitude crimp that extends up into the neck and down into the belly and legs, and good staple length.

Miss Mayflower (Miss M) is bred to 17 x Champion RR Kit Carson for a 2018 cria! This is your chance to get in on what is sure to be a stellar cria and an amazing dam's last few years of production at a fraction of it's value! Miss M is a banner winner in her own right with nice fineness, density and uniformity even with age. She is a healthy girl that we expect will easily deliver many more cria in her career. We would love to keep her but need to reduce numbers and she isn't fitting our grey focus. Our loss is your gain! Miss M is an amazing dam! Come to think of it, she's our best stud female. Not only is she an excellent mother that births easily and has plenty of milk, she consistently produces outstanding cria. The four cria she has birthed on our ranch have shown excellent conformation with very dense, fine, uniform fleece. Her 2012 EPDs bear this out: AFD -0.433, %>30 -2.942, MSL +4.133. She has taken high awards at numerous shows including a Reserve Champion at AlpacaMania in 2004. Miss M was bred to Derwydd Peruvian Inti-Sapa for a fall 2013 cria. At 11 years of age, Inti is still a superb alpaca that has had a major impact on Derwydd's breeding program. Check out the gorgeous light fawn male they produced! He's well conformed and his fleece is yummy! We have high hopes for this cria. For her 2015 cria, we bred Miss M to Midnight Prelude, one of our our up and coming true black herdsires. They produced a pretty peachy colored girl (Capuccino) with yummy soft, bright, crimpy fleece! We no longer own Night, so we bred Miss M to Snowmass Velevet Legend for her 2016 Cria. They both have extreme density and overall fleece quality and we expected a dynamite cria. Unfortunately, this Cria was born a bit early/dis-mature and he didn't survive. Too bad as he sported yummy bundles of medium fawn curls! We've bred Miss M to our new herdsire, Kit Carson, in the hope of producing a cria with amazing density and fineness. And Wowza, she birthed a gorgeous modern rose gray girl! Miss M sells with a free breed back to any unrestricted Menagerie Hill Ranch owned Herdsire.
