ATV Rockerfeller is a proud and beautiful boy, with a compact body and incredibly long legs. His sire, Accoyo Legacy, was the most expensive herdsire in the country, a half-interest selling for $750,000. Legacy was famous for stamping his imprimatur on all his crias, passing on fine fleece, crimp, and density, lots of density. He also passes on correct conformation. Rock also has Accoyo Elite as his grandsire on his dam's side as well as Peruvian Don Julio. Elite is famous for long-lasting fineness of fleece, and Don Julio passes on great fleece architecture. A great combination in one herdsire. We bred him to just two of our lesser girls in 2008 when we bought him. The picture of the fawn fleece on the farm page is from one of his cria on our farm. This cria was out of a white girl with no crimp to her fleece and not much of it, although her fleece was still admirably fine for her age. 2009 brought us three girls. By the way, he has thrown 86% girls so far. The first girl tested out at 14.1 microns, with density and beautiful crimp. Four more crias were born in 2011, three females and one male. The fleece structure of all four is outstanding.EPD's are the key to fleece production and future great offspring. Rockerfeller has very good EPD's and several of his offspring have numbers equaling THE TOP 1% of EPDs in the country! Rockerfeller gets rid of the %over30 microns category. He turns primary hair into within .04% of the micron count of secondary hair!! Take a look at Peruvian Betty or Mae West. Betty's AFD equals the top 1% in the country, as does her spin fineness, her percentage of over 30%, and her MSL. Her other numbers are equal to the top 2% to 4% of 40,000 alpacas tested in 2012 and researched by ARI. This male can greatly further your herd with absolutely outstanding fleece. Every cria of his on this farm has greatly improved EPDs, and the future offspring out of these crias will be equally impressive.
As the original Legacy died in 2008, a breeding to this boy or our other Legacy son, Crescent Moon's Legacy de Oro, will definitely get you a recognizable slice of the Legacy heritage.
We are charging $1500 for driveby breedings, or $2500 for the full three month stay, with pregnancy testing included. 2011 and 2012 crias fleece tests have come back, with all fleeces from Rockerfeller crias ranging from 15 to 18 microns with high frequency crimp and from 0.03 to 1% fiber over 30 microns. These tests also came back with mid 40 to high 50 percent curvature of crimp. This boy throws some gorgeous crias...many with color now that we are breeding to girls with color. He usually throws fleece darker than the color of the dam.
