Rose is a dark beauty with the fiber and genetics to gain a permanent position in someone’s foundation line up. Her dam is the dam to our remarkable Jetson’s Sir William, a rose gray 7X banner winner, and her sire is a male we brought back from the West Coast to improve the fineness in our dark colored females. Kinkaid did exactly that with Rose. Her first histogram carried an impressive AFD of 17.0 with just 1.0% of fibers over 30 microns. That was at 9 months of age. Rose has beautiful crimp, excellent coverage and density, and a consistent blanket of dark silver gray fiber. We think she will be a perfect candidate for a fawn male to gamble for an even finer fibered gray cria...or a gray male who is throwing beautiful classic grays. We had the opportunity to breed Rose to Legend's Peruvian Revelation of KPR when he was in the area in July...and so far it seems to have been a good breeding. Revelation is a fabulous male out of 5P Royal Incan Legend...a male who had numerous herdsires and banner winners to his credit before he passed away. Revelation is no slouch himself. Five blue ribbons and three banners...even as a mature male...put him at the top of our breeding wish list. When the opportunity came up to breed to him, we wanted to make it to a very special female. Ramblin' Rose is all that!
Rose gave us a beautiful Gray girl Silver Liberty who is a banner winner!
