Vic Jr's Hemiaccoyo Paladin is a white hemiaccoyo from Booher's outstanding program at Timberland Alpacas in Vic Jr's Hemiaccoyo Paladin is a white hemiaccoyo Herdsire from Booher's outstanding program at Timberland Alpacas in Oregon. His sire is Vic Jr and his dam is Hemmingway's Pearl. We are fortunate to now share ownership with Tom and Jerilyn Booher. Paladin is a rising star from this leading breeding program. On examining Paladin, a world renowned fiber expert from Australia proclaimed "his fleece is where the future of the Alpaca industry needs to be heading." What lead to such a proclamation: An AFD of 13.8, SD 3.1, curvature of 66%, 11-12 crimps/inch, wonderful density, brightness, and handle. Paladin has produced many cria, including a grey, which took a RC out of 49 grey males in his first outing. On our farm, Paladin has produced white through medium fawn. Paladin is destined to be an impact male on both coasts. His fleece more than any other alpaca on our farm resembles a vicuna style fleece. The density he has added to our herd is phenomenal. Plus the phenotype, bone structure, hardiness is a major factor in our breeding selection. Paladin has been a consistent placer in his Get-Of Sire competitions. Paladin is strongly embedded in our breeding program. Top 15% EPD Proudly co-owned with our good friends at Timberland Alpacas, Jeri and Tom Booher.

Description

LAAF Paladin's Belledin is one of the first Paladin east coast progeny--and also one of his best. Thank you Mike and Sarah for offering one of your finest foundation females for us to add to enhance our breeding program. Belledin is white but carries alot of color in her background. Perfect conformation, medium bone and sturdy frame. Great coverage, with incredible crimp well into her lower legs. Her crimp is very consistent and is evident without even opening her fleece, extending to the very tip of the fiber. Belledin is very dense. She has taken Reserve Champion twice and in the shows where she placed fourth, both times the judges remarked that any of the top four could have been in first. Belledin's dam, LA Belleza placed at the top of her classes in very competitive Level V shows has maintained one of our best fleeces out of Long Acre Alpaca Farm's foundation females. Belledin's sire, Paladin, is an impressive male with a fantastic genetic background. Paladin has one of the densest fleeces and his crimp curvature is possibly one of several highest ever recorded by fiber analysis.
