This dark, dark brown son of Hakuna Matata, an outstanding solid black West Coast male with a perfect bite and superb conformation, has been a farm favorite from the day he was born. His sire has dense, crimpy fiber with "incredibly soft handle" - judges always comment on it. As a yearling, Hakuna Matata's AFD was 20.7 microns, and his awards include Reserve Champion OFFF 2000, 1st Place OFFF 1998 fleece, 2nd Place CABA 1999 (Julio Sumar), 2nd Place CABA 2000 (Maggie Krieger) and 2nd Place EVAA 2000 fleece. Angus's dam, Sabrina, is a rich, dark brown half-Peruvian with incredible density, staple length and crimp - Maggie Krieger awarded her fleece a third place at the EVAA 2001 show. Sabrina also has heavy bone, great conformation and a gentle, easy-going temperament. Angus has inherited wonderful density, a magnificent typey head and a fantastic temperament from his dam, plus really nice handle and dark color genetics from his sire, who has two full generations of true black ancestors. A ribbon winner at the largest show in the nation at only 10 days over the minimum age limit to show, Angus is definitely one to watch. In addition to the three generations of true black heritage inherited from his award-winning sire, Angus has dark color genetics from his dam.?Sabrina is a rich dark brown half-Peruvian, whose black Chilean dam has all black and grey ancestors. A granddaughter of Accoyo Peruvian Leon, Sabrina and her sire Leo have both won awards for their fleece and are great fiber producers. Angus has excellent bone density, coverage and conformation, and shows genuine promise as a junior herdsire candidate. We wish to retain 5 breedings to him at this price to continue these award-winning colored genetics in our herd. CONGRATULATIONS TO SUE AND CHUCK IVES OF VA ON THEIR PURCHASE OF THIS SPECIAL BOY. THANKS ALSO FOR ALLOWING US TO RETAIN BREEDINGS TO KEEP HIS BLOODLINE IN OUR HERD!

Dam: River Rock's Whitney

River Rock's Whitney

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Brown
AOA# 816468DOB: 9/9/199925 yrs
This self-assured beauty is dark maroon with white facial markings and grey spots on her blanket and nose, so is a great candidate for a grey breeding program. Her sire, the full Peruvian JA Ivan, has outstanding presence, fiber quality and density, inherited from his famous sire Peruvian Aladdin. Whitney’s beautiful coloration, presence and compact body style come from her dam, a Chilean import. Whitney is a great mother, who produces abundant supplies of milk. A natural leader, Whitney has great crimp and density to her fiber and excellent coverage. She has good bone, a nice upright carriage and is attractive, intelligent and very friendly. Granddaughter of Peruvian Aladdin, Whitney exhibits wonderful crimp and density. She inherited her magnificent and rare maroon coloration from Lantara, her Chilean dam, who is also mother to Whitney's award-winning maroon half-brother Romeo, and her silver half-sister Titania. Whitney has never been shown and is a member of our core breeding herd. She is developing more grey coloration - on the tips of her ears, tail, nose and blanket. She is definitely one of our most intelligent, intuitive and beautiful females! Whitney’s latest cria, ANH’s Amerikhan Spirit, a white out of maroon and medium fawn parents, has great fiber characteristics. While white was not our breeding goal, she has the crimp and handle that is! She is conformationally straight and correct and of great size. Whitney has been bred to The Sheriff of Nottingham Hollow for a fall 2012 cria. His sire, Ben MacDhui, sired a DSG female with Whitney - hoping for the same! This pregnancy has not been confirmed.
