Friar Tuck is conformationally correct with great leg coverage and his fiber has nice crimp, great handle. It took first place in the 2006 VAOBA Alpaca Expo Spin-off. His color is Light Fawn but actually has an apricot hue to it. Friar Tuck is out of DAFI Tabitha sired by Peruvian Ringmaster, well known for his wonderful fiber. She is an excellent mother, very attentive and caring. His sire, Knight of Camelot, has perfect conformation, heavy bone and soft handle to his fine, uniform, lustrous true black fleece. Tuck has inherited the best of both! We are pleased to report that Tuck has a few cria on the ground. He sired Quinn, Autumn Bliss, Angel and National Treasure. Quinn and Tuck are hardly distinguishable in the pasture. They share the same color, presence and attitude!

AOA# 30477094DOB: 3/1/200717 yrs
It's a boy! Very possibly light rose grey. Preemie but very strong, alert and 12 pounds! The Deputy, born on September 19, 2011... Nottingham Hollow’s Lady Emma is out of Thistledown’s Angus of Argyll and our maroon beauty, River Rock’s Whitney. Angus inherited wonderful density and a magnificent typey head from his dam, plus the three generations of true black heritage inherited from his award-winning sire. Angus has dark color genetics from his dam. Sabrina is a rich dark brown half-Peruvian, whose black Chilean dam has all black and grey ancestors. A granddaughter of Accoyo Peruvian Leon, Sabrina and her sire Leo have both won awards for their fleece. Whitney’s sire, the full Peruvian JA Ivan, has outstanding presence, fiber quality and density, inherited from his famous sire Peruvian Aladdin. Whitney’s beautiful coloration, presence and compact body style come from her dam, a Chilean import. Whitney is a great mother, who produces abundant supplies of milk. A natural leader, Whitney has great crimp and density to her fiber and excellent coverage. She has good bone, a nice upright carriage and is attractive, intelligent and very friendly. Emma was bred to Tuck for her first cria and they produced a gorgeous medium fawn male on May 21, 2010. Since it was during the AOBA National's he was named National Treasure. Very solid male with soft handled long fleece. On September 19, 2011 Emma gave birth to The Sheriff of Nottingham Hollow's first cria. The Deputy of Nottingham Hollow is a light fawn tuxedo male with almost gray markings on his head.

Description

National Treasure is out of Nottingham Hollow's Lady Emma and Nottingham Hollow's Friar Tuck. He was born on the first day of the Nationals in 2010 hence his name, National Treasure... Treasure definitely inherited his dam's staple length and sires crimp. He's going to be worth watching as he grows. Coming up on two years in spring of 2012 we are pleased to say that Treasure has again produced a fleece of fantastic staple length. It's just as soft as can be too - sure to please some lucky fiber artist!
