Rico Suave has donated his services at this years Futurity Quechua Benefit Herdsire Auction. Great opportunity for you OHIO area breeders to donate for a GREAT casue and recieve a breeding to the FINEST BREEDING !! year old herdsire in US history In his element, Rico wins....... RESERVE Champion 2010 Maturity! AGE 10! Just got back Ricos 10year old histogram 16.6 AFD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No wonder Mike Safely couldnt say enough about Ricos fineness at the Maturity Did you know, Rico has sired a BLACK female and male! Holey Moley, Rico's 8 yr fleece just won CABA Judges Choice! Also won Best Hand & Best Brightness! Uh...folks I repeat 8 years old. Im just amazed with this boy. Two words keep coming to my brain SUPER FREAK .......SUPER FREAK Great News! Rico is coming back to Ohio summer of 2011 Rico came to Ohio in 08 to distribute "16.5 micron @ 8yrs" lingering fineness genes. Rico's 8 year old skin biopsy, performed by Norm Evans, revealed 69 follicles/sq.mm and a 16.5 average micron. see more here: https://alpacastreet.oursafeserver.com/ alpacas/view.html?lpaca_id=767 Age 7 ---- Rico's histogram-- AFD 17.1, SD 3.3, CV 19.3, <30 0.4%. This is no one hit wonder, folks, His last 3 years #s are very consistent! ****UPDATE....Rico's 2008 histogram (8 year old) 17.1, SD 3.5, CV 20.5, %>30 0.5. The AlpacaRosa refers to this as "LINGERING FINENESS" in a breeding male! We are bound and determined to make this a household name! I know what you all are thinking.....!!! Can this be ? 17 micron at 8 years with THAT kind of Brightness & crimp staying power?? Is this picture really his 7 year old fleece? WELL? Over the last 2 yrs, Rico convinced several OHIO breeders, Mike Safley, and CABA fleece judges that YES! He is STILL THAT fine! Folks! THIS is why we bring Rico back to The AlpacaRosa every year!. My freinds in Oregon can see how passionate we are about bringing 'Lingering fineness" to the forefront and spreading his amazing genetics. If you have been going to shows, you HAVE to know Fineness RULEs, and evidenced by 5 year old champions at recent Nationals and Futurity, the breeders in-the-know realize Lingering Fineness rules!!!!

Piper's black cria from last year,Night Moves, won a championship at the 09 Kentucky Classic and 3rd place at Nationals. Followed that up with a striking Rico Suave fawn male. 2011 offspring, Pipers Viper, won 3rd at National. He is quite nice with long crimpy staple. This year we bred Piper to our Tuscan Black. Tuscan Black has amazing fleece, so the offspring should be very interesting and hoping black. We GOT IT! an awesome Black offsrping with amazing crimp and brightness Piper is a Sweet girl in more ways than one. Her Super sweet personality is the first thing that sets her apart from the herd . But as you start looking through her fiber , She's got the SWEETEST FLEECE! Nice high frequency crimp, fine long staple and a great handle. Piper's fleece is VERY consistent throughout her blanket, extending down her legs and under her belly! She has perfect conformation with straight legs and compact build. Piper's 2009 histogram (3 years old) 22.59AFD 4.98SD 22.04CV 92.83CF 39 curve Piper did well in the showring, never finishing below 2nd Place and Always being singled out for the best fleece in her class, Her bloodlines are very unique, with a pronounced background of black. We look for Piper to throw a lot of black for us over the years. This time around we took the opportunity to breed Piper to a visiting 8 year old herdsire that has a documented 17.1 micron at 8 years old. He is one of a kind and should add super fineness to Piper's already impressive fleece! WOW Accoyo Elite(brightness/fineness) , Hemingway(fineness), (16 micron 8 year old Freak),Rico Suave, and Hercules(crimp). 17.65AFD 4.03 22.83 99.7 taken at 10 months AROSA = Full Fiber Histogram Disclosure please shop and compare! Holy Cow, Old man Rico Suave's 9 year old histogram just ballooned to a 17.6AFD and 18 CV.........This boy is no doubt a Super Freak. Rico Suave, himself, does not have many crias on the ground given his age, as he was a recluse on a suri farm for most of his life. Rico Suave had a skin biospy test done by Norm Evans, which revealed a 16.5 micron and 69 follicle/sq.mm. This test was done when Rico was 8! At 9, Rico wins Judges Choice at the CABA fleece show, and also winning BEST BRIGHTNESS and BEST HAND awards.........yes, 9 years old! Piper is no slouch herself, collecting a few important awards in her short show career, winning 2nd Place at 2006 Nationals and Buckeye, and winning a first place at Kentucky Classic. Piper's first cria, Night Moves, won a Kentucky Classic Championship at 9 months old. As far as Hooligan, well, he was just born and looks terrific. He has great coverage, has amazing sheen, well defined crimp at 3 hours old, and is, of course, VERY fine. We think we have a winner
