Ultima is one amazing stud! He won a reserve champion at The Great Midwest Alpaca Festival under Mike Safley at age SIX. Ultima has a very fine and uniform fleece still at age six. He has improved the fleece on every cria he has thrown. His sire is the legendary Peruvian Hemingway and is very well known. His dam, Alta, is Don Julio daughter and is a little less known. Alta, who was owned by Dr. David TenHulzen, won first place in the Juvenile White Huacaya Female class at the Peruvian Legacy Futurity Show in Scottsdale, AZ. The show was judged by three individual judges: Maggie Krieger, Jodi Sleeper-Robinson, and Dr. Julio Sumar. At the same show, Alta won Grand Champion Breed- Juvenile Huacaya Females (all colors), and Grand Champion: Color- White Huacayas (both sexes, all ages). Ultima would be an asset on any farm.

Snap up Snapdragon before someone else does! A beautiful pure Peruvian female with the potential to be bred for color - or for elite white: your choice. Three of her sire's grandparents have color fleeces, and her dam is sired by a SILVER GREY. The combination of elite, incredibly dense fleeces with COLOR in this pedigree tells us she should be in a color breeding program. Fleece - well defined crimp with good amplitude and about 7 crimps per inch. Bright. Silky soft. Well defined, solid staples. Sire - Franklin's Liberty is one of the densest alpacas ever, as proven by skin biopsy. A handsome example of the quality that can result from crossing the Accoyo and Alianza lines, he is proving his worth as a sire. A grandson of the fawn Accoyo male Felix, and the great Hemingway. Dam - Salutation's Sunflower is the daughter of one of the 'cornerstones' of the Sixth Day herd: PPP Salutation. Among other fine traits, she passes along her dense, gorgeous fleece and well defined crimp. Salutation kept that desireable crimp archetecture into her teens! Sunflower's sire is a SILVER GREY. That, and a fawn/brown spot on her neck (just like Matrix!) indicates her potential - and her crias' potential - to produce high-end crias 'in living COLOR'! DISCOUNTS on two or more alpacas! Snapdragon is located at Sixth Day Farm West in Wellington, CO.
