This guy may be one of the best kept secrets in the business. If you are looking for a truly superior stud male - with the documentation to back it up - you owe it to yourself to consider LIBERTY: In 2007, skin biopsies from Liberty were sent to both Dr. Evans and Dr. Watts for analysis. The results are almost unbelieveably excellent: over 111 follicles/ square mm (Dr.Norm Evans). Call and I will send you the actual results. Let me know if you can find a white male for sale with better biopsy results than this! The fact that he placed when shown in spite of a leg injury sustained at an early age speaks volumes about his quality. Liberty has a very typical Accoyo/Alianza look and fleece character. Talk about a well-organized fleece with small, dense staples and distinct, high frequency crimp! Sire - Accoyo Franklin, Felix son of pure Accoyo lineage. Everyone knows about Felix, through the quality and fineness of his offspring. One of the handfull of FAWNS imported from Accoyo. Dam - A classic Alianza female, NWA Ltd. Louise is a superb daughter of one of the greatest sires ever: Hemingway. Still attractive and vigorous at 18+ years, her fleece exhibits the density and crimp that her sire was famous for imparting to his get. Liberty splits his time between Sixth Day Farm East in Hilton, NY and Sixth Day Farm West in Wellington, CO. Due to the excellent results we have seen in his offspring, his stud fee is being increased to $2000. However for anyone who purchases stud services prior to July 1, 2016 we will continue to honor the previous fee listed here of $1000. Dam: Salutation's Sunflower

Salutation's Sunflower

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 842688DOB: 5/22/200222 yrs
With a GREY sire and a COLOR spot on her neck (which she has never passed on to her white crias sired by our white males), she belongs in a COLOR breeding program. Her eyes are dark. Sunflower has produced amazing white crias for Sixth Day. Can you imagine the quality she would give you when bred to your favorite COLOR male?! Good foundation females, like PPP Salutation and her daughter Sunflower, are few and far between. Only now that we have daughters of both Sunflower and her dam (sired by white males, which fits our program), can we let this big beautiful girl go. Fleece - At eight years, Sunflower's fleece is still impressive for it's density, soft handle, and pretty crimp. How many 8 year old females still have crimp? Holding nice fineness and it feels great. Sire - 5Peruvian Granite was well known just a short time ago. In the 2007 Show Summaries, he ranked #1 among GREY 'Top Sires of the Top Dams', (the equivalent to broodmare sires in horses). In other words, his daughters produced more successful show winners than any other grey male. Dam - PPP Salutation is an amazing female. Dense, fine, BRIGHT, with a silk-like handle, and an exceptionally well-organized fleece. Her fleece opens into small tight staples with well-defined, high frequency crimp. At 15 years, her Curve measured 38.5, a respectable crimp curve measurement for an alpaca of any age, but exceptional at this age! Produced a cria every year without fail.

Service Sire: BHA Peruvian White Knight

BHA Peruvian White Knight

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 30010984DOB: 4/29/200519 yrs
White Knight has a very unique and limited genetic make-up. His sire, PCA Accoyo El Nino, is no longer performing outside breedings. His dam, Misty Dawn, is out of two imports. Misty Dawn's sire, P3 White Lightning 6012, was owned by Pacific Crest Alpacas and has a very limited number of offspring and is no longer breeding. P3 White Lightning was the largest white Accoyo Peruvian male chosen in the 1995 Five Star Import with 22 micron at age 3 1/2 and 10+ pound quarantine shear weight. Thus, White Knight is a blend of not only extremely high quality but also very difficult to find genetics. 2006 Skin Biopsy: Follicular Density of 62.2; Secondary/Primary Ratio 11.3 to 1 at age 19 months. Skin Biopsy was done by Jim Watts in December 2006.

Description

Snap up Snapdragon before someone else does! A beautiful pure Peruvian female with the potential to be bred for color - or for elite white: your choice. Three of her sire's grandparents have color fleeces, and her dam is sired by a SILVER GREY. The combination of elite, incredibly dense fleeces with COLOR in this pedigree tells us she should be in a color breeding program. Fleece - well defined crimp with good amplitude and about 7 crimps per inch. Bright. Silky soft. Well defined, solid staples. Sire - Franklin's Liberty is one of the densest alpacas ever, as proven by skin biopsy. A handsome example of the quality that can result from crossing the Accoyo and Alianza lines, he is proving his worth as a sire. A grandson of the fawn Accoyo male Felix, and the great Hemingway. Dam - Salutation's Sunflower is the daughter of one of the 'cornerstones' of the Sixth Day herd: PPP Salutation. Among other fine traits, she passes along her dense, gorgeous fleece and well defined crimp. Salutation kept that desireable crimp archetecture into her teens! Sunflower's sire is a SILVER GREY. That, and a fawn/brown spot on her neck (just like Matrix!) indicates her potential - and her crias' potential - to produce high-end crias 'in living COLOR'! DISCOUNTS on two or more alpacas! Snapdragon is located at Sixth Day Farm West in Wellington, CO.
