Bravado is the result of combining the finest and most proven Peruvian alpaca genetics in North America: Bueno and Hemingway. Bueno is owned by Mike & Robin Tierney of MapleBrook Farm. His stud fee was $10,000, until he stopped breeding about a year ago. Bueno has sired over 100 winning offspring, and we believe Bravado is one of his best. Bravado's dam, NWA,Ltd Marcie contributes another line of proven superior genetics: the world famous Hemingway. When he was evaluated by a famous international alpaca consultant we were told, "You need to control the genetics of this one. Don't sell a partial interest to anyone and just lease him out once or twice a year to selected farms." A real compliment - and good advice - but we have quite a stable of white males, so if you want to add some true fineness to your herd you can control access to these genetics yourself.
