Snowmass Casanova's Canaletto

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Dark Fawn
AOA# 836147DOB: 6/16/200222 yrs
Canaletto standing at stud at Lana Bella through June 2011 Canelleto is one of the finest and most striking dark fawn males born to Snowmass alpacas of full Peruvian decent of of Grey lineage. His dam is one of their finest and highly selected "Putina" Pervuian females. Her offspring have all been on their #1 show string. Canaletto has an extraordinarily dense fiber with amazing finess and character that extends from his top knot down through his neck and body. He has a extreamly uniform superfine fleece and has consistantly passed the finess and uniformity between primary and secondary fibers off to his offspring. His fleece did not increase by even a full micron for almost 5 years, and this strong gentic propensity for finess is seen in his crias, with the majority of them being in the 19-20 micron range. His sire, the famous gray, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova has also been a top seller and AOBA Herdsire of the Year. Full Peruvian, this exceptional male will take any breeders colored breeding program to the top.

Sweet Pines Catalina

HuacayaOpen (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 30457157DOB: 7/19/200618 yrs
Catalina has produced phenomenal offspring, including National Brown Color Champion, Sweet Pines Torino! Catalina's fleece is an exquisite medium brown with a SOFT handle and tight, consistent crimp. She has straight conformation and a perfect bite. She is one of those friendly, confident alpacas that catches your attention right away. And then when you start looking at her pedigree, you know you can't go wrong...especially if you are breeding for superior QUALITY COLOR. Catalina is out of ELDORADO, a very studly charcoal grey. ElDorado is out of the amazing 4Peruvian LEGACY along with a plethora of black and grey on his dam's side. Catalina's dam is our very own champion Makella. And the genetics on her side are just as impressive - Peruvian Accolade, Peruvian Augusto, Peruvian El Moustachio, & Peruvian Don Julio. Catalina's first cria, Azera, is spectacular. She won our hearts along with two well-earned ribbons (2nd at AFCNA Fleece Show & 3rd at Alpaca Affaire composite). Her dark chocolate brown fleece is soft & crimpy with excellent character. But Catalina's claim to fame is her son, Sweet Pines Torino, a NATIONAL COLOR CHAMPION for his fleece at AOBA Nationals 2011. He has also earned 3 RESERVE CHAMPIONS in both halter and fleece. His 1st histogram stats are amazing: AFD 15.7, SD 2.9, CV 18.4, %>30 0.5. A half price breeding is available to any of our unrelated studs (e.g. Snowmass XXXtreme Flare) or those of Alpaca Harmony, LLC (e.g. Spanish Peaks Banderas (Torino's sire) OR champion black herdsire Crescent Moon's Daytona). We will provide 4 months free board upon purchase if necessary. Transport and purchase exam are the responsibility of the buyer. Thank you for considering Catalina, a wonderful mother producing exceptional offspring.

Description

Lexus is a lovely young female with top color genetics. She is very dense with uniform and elegant vicuna-merino type crimp, plus a delightful handle that carries a SILKY COOLNESS. Her wonderful conformation is straight, square, & balanced, with strong bone, a lovely head, and a perfect bite. Lexus' ELITE GENETICS are packed with dark rich color. Both her grandsires are grey. On her sire's side is the well-known Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova. And her dam's sire is the charcoal grey 4Peruvian Legacy son, HVLA Legacy's Eldorado. Her sire, Snowmass Casanova's Canaletto took 3rd at Futurity and has been producing fantastic ribbon-winning offspring. Her dam, Sweet Pines Catalina, has consistently produced superior offspring as well, including our own National Champion, Sweet Pines Torino. This young female is quite the catch and is now bred to Sweet Pines Midnight Ryder, black first place winner. He comes from champion parents who have held onto their fineness well into adulthood and is proving to do the same. Plus he is just so handsome! We have no idea what to expect with this breeding, but are excited considering the color genetics on both sides. Plus this cria is bound to have so much fiber from head to toe!
