Canelleto is one of the finest and most striking dark fawn males born to Snowmass alpacas of full Peruvian decent of of Grey lineage. His dam is one of their finest and highly selected "Putina" Pervuian females. Her offspring have all been on their #1 show string. Canaletto has an extraordinarily dense fiber with amazing finess and character that extends from his top knot down through his neck and body.
He has a extreamly uniform superfine fleece and has consistantly passed the finess and uniformity between primary and secondary fibers off to his offspring.
His fleece did not increase by even a full micron for almost 5 years, and this strong gentic propensity for finess is seen in his crias, with the majority of them being in the 19-20 micron range.
His sire, the famous gray, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova has also been a top seller and AOBA Herdsire of the Year.
