Sire: Snowmass Snow Legend

Elite Accoyo Snowmass!!

Snowmass Snow Legend

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 828792DOB: 7/1/200321 yrs
Snowmass Snow Legend is one of the finest studs in the nation, with a cashmere-like fleece of 14.4 micron count in 2004 and still, over 40 offspring, at the age of 8, his micron count is 21.6!! Son of one of the most unique Full Accoyo sires in the US; his father Snowmass Incaaccoyo Star (I-Star) is sired by the one and only, Peruvian Snowmaster (more on side). I-Star passed on his great conformation to Legend; including bite, straight legs, & straight top line: as well as his FANTASTIC fiber with a tight and uniform crimp, lock structure, density, coverage, soft handle & bundling and luster. Even more exciting than that, is that Legend is a male full of attitude, presence and great conformation. Just looking at him makes you go WOW. He represents the greatness of his sire & grandsire, with an additional brightness, luster and highly expressive crimp making an unbelievable fleece on this true Champion. Snowmaster & I-Star passed all this onto Legend, plus a great disposition! Finding a top of the shelf white alpaca with the fiber characteristics combined with a strong conformation is important for any alpaca program...and as Snowmaster is no longer available; & there are very few of these treasured Snowmaster offspring still existing, here is a great chance to obtain these great and rare genetics through his grandson Snow Legend, by breeding your prized alpacas to him! Don't overlook this Peruvian Snowmaster grandson! His name says it all...He truly is a legend of Snowmaster’s incredibly exceptional genetics, that needs to be carried on. He truly has it all: an Elite Full Accoyo lineage from Snowmaster (which is one of the most desired in the industry), fabulous confirmation & remarkable fleece! Thank you to Evergreen Valley Alpacas, Enterprise Ranch, Grazing Hills Alpacas, Stirling Ridge Alpacas for choosing Snow Legend for breedings!

Dam: Rockford Hemingway's Ruth

Hemingway Daughter!!

Rockford Hemingway's Ruth

HuacayaBred (Female)White
AOA# 1421231DOB: 6/11/200420 yrs
Hemingway's done it again; with another exceptional cria…Hemingway's Ruth is excellent in every way. She shines with his genes, with the ‘Hemingway head’, lovely topknot, and perfect spear-shaped ears & a wonderful handle, density, luster, and more!!! Ruth will add pervasive fineness and elite genetics to your breeding program, as well as remarkable density and lingering fineness (meaning their fleece stays fine), as she has already done for us. Ruth's histograms show incredible fineness: At 6 months of age, her AFD was: 17.9; 2nd shearing: 20.4 (both 1st and 2nd years, she was boarded out); 3rd shearing: 16.9; 5th shearing: 18.5; 6th shearing: 21.3; 7th shearing: 21.3 and 8th shearing: 21.1!!!! Her offspring show the same, and are extremely dense with tons of coverage and fineness: Royal: Year 1: 15.4 Uzziah: Year 1: 17.4; Year 2: 14.5 Reginald: Year 1: 17.1 Dia: Year 1: 15.1 Ruby: Year 1: 16.6 We keep rebreeding Ruth to Snowmass Snow Legend, because the crias they produce are extraordinary!!! This year, we re-bred her for the 4th time to Snowmass Snow Legend -- one of the finest studs in the nation, who had a cashmere-like fleece of 14.4 micron count in 2004 and has retained his lingering fineness still, with a micron count of 20.8 at 9 years old!! Legend represents the greatness of his sire (Snowmass IncaAccoyo Star) & grandsire(Snowmaster), with an additional brightness, luster & highly expressive crimp making an unbelievable fleece on this true Champion, which he has proven to pass onto his offspring. NOTE: The cut-rate prices of our girls are NOT a reflection of their quality. We simply need to make room for the new cria coming on this year! Our loss is your gain!!

Service Sire: Silver Spoon Viola

Snowmass CasaNova + Aussie Rockford

Silver Spoon Viola

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 31838245DOB: 9/3/200915 yrs
Viola has the best of two worlds. He has a regal and ever-watchful bearing, a large frame, with good, straight conformation, a model temperament, spectacular fleece characteristics, & a Champion lineage to match. His dense fleece is soft, fine and crimpy, with a well-defined lock structure. At the age of 20 months, Viola was ready to start his breeding career, and so, we are expecting his first crop of crias in Spring 2012!! In 2010, he was appraised by both Jude Anderson and Amanda VandenBosch. They said: "This young male has a good head, a well-balanced frame, and a good bite. His fleece displays good staple length, has a very nice handle, and an even medium rose grey blanket." His sire, SNOWMASS PERUVIAN CASANOVA has arguably produced more Champion Offspring than any other Gray Breeding Male in North America! High seller at the 2002 Celebrity Futurity Auction, Casanova was sold for an amazing $147,000! In 2003, Casanova took home the prestigious Futurity Herdsire of the Year honors for his outstanding offspring. In 2005, his son-Snowmass Nova took home the Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year, and then in early 2006, was sold for a mind-blowing $300,000!!! That was the first time a sire and his progeny have won this prestigious award!! Then, there is Casanova's sire--PERUVIAN BUENO. Bueno's accomplishments and award winning cria are so numerous, it is impossible to list them all. Picked as the #1 choice by three of the country's leading Alpaca breeders, this super Peruvian Macho was the high-selling Alpaca at the 1994 Spring Celebrity Sale. Bueno has also produced more "Get of Sires" than any male in the country - he is simply legendary. On Viola's OTHER side, there is first his dam: PV ROCKFORD'S RHAPSODY, out of AUSSIE ROCKFORD and FABIA OF STAR HILL (out of the top west coast grey herdsire--FANTASY'S GREMLIN & a maroon dam. Her offspring won numerous blue ribbons as well.). In 2008, Rhapsody took a Blue Ribbon in Yearling Grays at the Heart of the Valley in Halter and a 3rd in a competitive class at CABA. Then, there is the famed Silver Gray half-Accoyo AUSSIE ROCKFORD, out of Legendary Accoyo PPERUVIAN FELIX--who was known to throw a wide range of colors and fine fleeces, champions and high selling alpacas--& HANNAHRUH--who's every cria was an award winner or color champion, including the well-known Painted Sky Apres Vous, Aussie Colorado Dillinger, and Aussie Rockford. Aussie Rockford has won ribbons all over the country, in every show he has been in. Of his 186 registered offspring, almost 80% are either black or gray out of dams of varying colors. All of his amazing attributes, he passed onto Viola. As you can see, with this male comes extraordinary potential. What would a Casanova offspring do to enhance your sales list? Thank you Mother Earth Alpacas for choosing Viola for breedings!!

Description

Dia is exquisite. With Elite International genetics including some of Snowmass' finest originals: Snowmass IncaAccoyo Star, Peruvian Snowbells, Peruvian Bueno, Hemingway, Snowmass Silver Pearl, Peruvian Accoyo Arctic, and Peruvian Snowmaster, how could you not be good? As soon as she was born it was apparent Dia had a remarkable fleece. Not only does she have one of the most exciting fleeces we've seen, but her fleece shows pervasive fineness, incredible definition, and dense bundles of bright, low micron, low amplitude, high frequency, tight crimp with long staple length. Not only her fleece is exquisite though, her conformation is too! She shines with her GrandSire Hemingway's genetics, with her ‘Hemingway head’, lovely topknot, and perfect spear-shaped ears. Her sire - award-winning Accoyo SNOWMASS SNOW LEGEND - is one of the finest studs in the nation, who had a cashmere-like fleece of 14.4 micron count in 2004 and has retained his lingering fineness, still at 20.8 microns at 9 years of age. He represents the greatness of his sire & grandsire, with an additional brightness, luster & highly expressive crimp making an unbelievable fleece on this true Champion. Snowmaster & Snowmass IncaAccoyo Star passed all this onto Legend, plus a great disposition! Her dam - Hemingway's Ruth has added pervasive fineness and elite genetics to our breeding program, as well as remarkable density and lingering fineness. Even after her 9th shearing, her AFD was 20.4 microns!!!! In 2 other breedings to Snowmass Snow Legend, Ruth threw an incredible male-Uzziah, who had a 14.5 micron count at his second shearing, and another female-Ruby with a 1st count of 16.6!! With a first AFD of 15.1 and a second AFD of 14.8!!, we know Dia is no less, and are excited to retain her for our breeding program. She gave her first cria summer of 2013--a beautiful, pure white female-Delight, from award-winning Snowmass Reminiscence, who had almost impenetrably dense fleece and a champion ancestry line from Snowmass Snowmaster, Snowmass Edelweis, Snowmass Legacy Gold, and Snowmass Andean Gold. Her last cria, Dalci, born summer of 2019 had 15.0 micron count at first shearing, and has dense, gorgeous white fleece. Sired by Rockford Royal Tintinnabulum, who has dense, long fleece and a champion ancestry line from Snowmass Snowmaster, Snowmass Edelweis, Snowmass Legacy Gold, and Snowmass Andean Gold.
