Snowmass Matrix Madness

His crias are here and winning big in the ring with many Championships and ribbons. We could not be happier or more excited about them. Both our own, those of our clients and our co-owner Snowmass Alpacas. If you had to describe them in one word...well you couldn't. But you can say that they are very true to type in head and body style. Supremely fine and shiny. Ultra bright and very dense. I know we tend to over use all those descriptors, but we invite you to take a look at his colorful crias and see for yourself. So far he seems to be throwing the color of the dam and adding tremendous fleece density, bone size, fleece coverage, brightness, and of course fineness. Julie Skinner at Snowmass tells us that her Madness cria was simply dripping with fleece from birth and was incredibly bright and fine. She said he was the quality that she would have expected from her top white herdsires! When you see Madness in person, you are blown away by his good looks, bone, body, and coverage. But he's more than just good looks on the outside. One prominent AOBA judge asked us for Madness' age and exclaimed "Holy *&@%" when we told him. He told us that he was finer in handle than most juveniles. We're in awe every time we part his fleece. He is incredibly consistent, (see the judges comments in the awards section). We are so grateful and appreciative that every judge we have shown him under has awarded him a Color Championship and have raved about his tremendous consistency. He is incredibly dense and fine and carries his wonderful fleece quality all throughout his body, down his legs, and up his neck to his topknot. The judges comments on him have been extremely flattering. We are very excited to have a partnership in this fabulous herdsire with Don and Julie Skinner at Snowmass Alpacas. We were so devastated when we lost our wonderful herdsire Snowmass Porteus and so grateful that they invited us to co-own the male that they themselves kept in order to replace Porteus on their own ranch as well as to continue on Matrix's genetics in dark color. We had great fun showing him this past year. We got to take home a championship in every single show we took him to. We feel so proud of him and hope you don't mind us bragging a bit. We invite you to visit and take a look at this guy, we're just "mad" about him ;)

Dam: Reiling Velvet Horizon

Genetic Treasure

Reiling Velvet Horizon

HuacayaOpen (Female)Bay Black
AOA# 31456562DOB: 5/17/201113 yrs
We call this girl a genetic treasure because she is exactly that. She is the result of many years of high end breeding and has tremendous lines in her pedigree: Snowmaster, Legacy, Snowmass Legacy Gold, Incan Magic, 6Peruvian Gold Serenity, Snowmass Andean Bronze, and more. Her sire, Snowmass Bright Horizon is owned by Tom and Judy Kania. We were with them when they purchased him at the Snowmass Auction and have been so impressed by him. We purchased her dam at that same auction in partnership with Tom and Judy. Snowmass Velvet Accent as been a top producer. One of her first son's stands stud at Allan and Jude's farm Pucara. Her son Velvet Accent is a 5 time Champion for Reiling Ranch and Field of Dreams. Her Porteus daughter with her super fine, bright, dense fleece, has won many ribbons for Tom and Judy. Her granddam 6Peruvian Gold Serinity was solid fawn and still at 17.9 micron at 6 years old. No matter who Velvet Accent has been bred to, she has passed on that trait for fineness. The AFD of her son Royal Accent - 15.4, daughter Royal Velvet - 14.0, son Royal asset - 16.4, and so on. Based on how Velvet Horizon is developing, we think she's destined for greatness! Horizon took a Blue Ribbon at TXOLAN and a coveted 2nd Place at The 2012 Futurity and SBC Show. Her daughter from Snowmass Matrix Madness has now won her first blue ribbon at TXOLAN 2015! I believe we'll have to breed her back to Matrix Madness! She is a solid breeding girl and we look forward to many years of offspring from her!

Service Sire: RobAsia's Albus

6X Champion Elite Young Herdsire

RobAsia's Albus

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 32194791DOB: 8/30/201113 yrs
NEWS: SKIN BIOPSY RESULTS COMPLETE Dr. Evans "Albus highest S/P ratio ever tested to date" He has an S/P Ratio of 21.25! We are pleased to announce our partnership with our friends Joanna and Rob Stephens of RobAsia Alpacas. We share ownership is a fantastic young male with amazing potential - RobAsia's Albus. We have been very selective in purchasing breeding males for our herd. For us to purchase a white male meant he had to meet and exceed any of all of our expectations for powerful genetics, excellent fleece characteristics proven with hard data, and great conformational traits. We studied him on paper, looked and fleece samples, and then traveled to Wisconsin to see him in the flesh. We made our decision with no hesitation. Genetics: Albus is sired by Snowmass Quechua's Quest. Quest is an amazing combination of two powerhouse lines in the Snowmass herd, Snowmass Star Quest (Augusto line) and Snowmass Quechua (multiple herdsire of the year). Albus' dam brings just as much to the table with her Snowmass Invincble and Accoyo Caligula in her portfolio. A secret ingredient in Albus is the appearance of arguably, the most influential female in the Snowmass herd, Snowmass Maree Love on both the top and bottom of Albus' pedigree. Fleece: Beautiful! We studied his fleece samples, saw his show fleece from his last shearing, and studied his fleece on body. The hand on Albus' fleece is among the best we have touched. The character and crimp in the fleece is consistent from top of his head to his tail. Check out fiber stats. Awesome histogram on third shearing! Conformation: Albus is upright, straight, and demonstrates strong bone structure. His photos tell the story. Albus now has cria on the ground with our partner farm in Wisconsin - they are reportedly the best cria born at RobAsia. We have confirmed pregnancies here in Texas with the first cria due in early November. He is standing at Blue Gate from November 2015 until May 2016. Limited outside breedings to approved females. Females confirmed bred to Albus available for sale.

Description

Due to some complications with my health, we're making our herd a more manageable size. We are going on our 14th year in the business and these alpacas represent significant research and genetic advances. I wish I could keep them all, but this is a great opportunity for a well bred Reiling Ranch alpaca at a great price. This girl is one we would be very proud to see take center stage in your breeding program. If you were baking a recipe with the absolute best ingredients, this would be the genetic recipe for Muse. She is a mixture of the best of ours and Snowmass Alpacas bloodlines and she's a beauty. She has an overwhelmingly sweet personality and we love seeing her in the barn. Muse's body style is large boned and well balanced. One judge commented that he loved how well grown she was for her age. She has excellent fleece coverage all the way to her toes and that fleece is lovely. It is extremely consistent from skin to tip and from shoulder to hip. That's a trait that her sire Snowmass Matrix Madness passes to his offspring. Her fineness, luxurious handle, and density are passed to her from both sire and dam. We will definitely be repeating the breeding that produced Muse! Muse herself should be ready to breed in a few months and we'd love to see her dark gene reinforced with Katmandu, but if you buy her before we make that decision...you get to decide from our list of good looking boys. She will be sold bred and with a free breedback as well as reduced price future breedings.
