SuriHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 1118902DOB: 5/6/200519 yrs
Another fantastic black Suri Male, ITS King Cole! His mother, Twilight, is a deep maroon color and has grey on both sides of her family tree. King Cole has inherited his tiny locks from his sire, Admiral, a prize winning rose grey. So if you are looking for black with the potential to throw grey, King Cole is the definitive choice. He has great conformation, a solid build and a very sweet disposition. King Cole also has a fine fleece with incredibly soft handle and shimmering black color! His 2006 micron count was 23.8, very good for a black suri! Top all that with 1/4th of his genetics come from the Alianza co-op in Peru. King Cole has a fantastic looking head so if you have girls with just OK looking heads KC just might be able to help you get those babies with the gorgeous heads, in addition to fine dark fleece. KC is also bred to 6 of our own Dams! KC's first cria has hit the ground and it is a true black female from a white dam!

FFF Peruvian Carmelita

SuriBred (Female)Medium Brown
AOA# 802261DOB: 11/15/1996
Carmelita is a very nice Medium Brown female with a Grey face and excellent fleece coverage. She has dark pigmented skin showing up as black ears, feet, and a black nose. She gives birth easily and is a great mother with lots of milk. We purchased “Carmen” in the fall of 2003 specifically to breed her to our True Black Herdsire “Bonanza in Black’. On November 22, 2004, she gave birth to a very fine True Black male who we named “Suriland Cronan” (the Dark Swarthy one) who has excellent fleece coverage and locks. Cronan was selected as Reserve Color Champion as a Juvenile at the Midwest Alpaca Jamboree competing against yearlings and two year olds. As a yearling, Cronan was 1st in a class of eleven yearling black males judged by Dr Julio Sumar. Several of the males in this class were color champions from very large shows. Carmen is a proven producer of Black! In 2008 delivered a cria (Defiance's Peruvian Maggie) from our own Peruvian, part Accoyo Herdsire, Defiance, that is solid white with absolutely the finest, best luster and greasy feel of any cria born that year. This years cria born in April is a solid true black with no faded tips.

Description

Popo is a great little true black male who when he was born I immediately had to check my breeding log because he looked so much like his older half brother Cronan that I assumed I had made exactly the same pairing. Turns out I did not, but he is so similar to Cronan I expect him to do well in the show ring. Same mother, TB sire, same general appearance, same calm and friendly attitude and the exact same tail curl when you scratch his back. Popo recognizes his name and even curls his tail up when you call him. True Black fleece, soft and wavy and nice and thick and it shines with luster! Buy him now and get to show him and take his ribbons to your farm. His name was selected by our daughter Jessica and his full name means "Smoking Mountain".
