Congratulations and thank you to Sunny Alpacas for their purchase of Snowmass Andean Midnight! SNOWMASS ANDEAN MIDNIGHT: "FINENESS in BLACK" Elite Ultra-Fine Blacks are hard to find! However, like many of our Snowmass studs, Andean Midnight has retained his Fineness, Brightness, and Handle with age! (Amanda VandenBosch valued him at $12K in 2019). Andean Midnight is a beautiful, compact True Black "Silky Soft" stud with an outstanding Royal Pedigree for fineness and should retain his fineness for years to come. Those who need to add proven genetics of fineness, brightness and handle will appreciate the Royal Blacks from Snowmass! He is one of their best! His fiber is incredibly soft and shiny with a silky look and feel. It has a uniform low amplitude high frequency style of crimp. You have to see it to believe it. His grandsire is none other than Andean Bronze, the sire of Royal Bronze – from Snowmass’ vicuna type alpacas who retain fineness under 20 microns after reaching maturity. CONFORMATION: GOOD BONE WITH EXCELLENT COVERAGE HANDSOME CORRECT WEDGED HEADPIECE DENSE TOPKNOT CORRECT BITE SUPERIOR ROYAL “Vicuna” Lineage: Snowmass Andean Night is a brother to Snowmass Royal Bronze (throws true blacks) and Snowmass Royal Flush (throws silver grays like Silver Signature). Snowmass Andean Bronze (Peruvian Andean Gold x Peruvian Croixen) is an incredible example of longevity in fineness. Fineness will be one of the most important ingredients in breeding elite blacks! ANDEAN MIDNIGHT IS 1/2 BROTHER TO SNOWMASS ROYAL BRONZE (VICUNA TYPE) SIRE: SNOWMASS ANDEAN NIGHT (Superb Brightness & Character Throughout the Fleece) DAM: SNOWMASS FINENESS MATTERS (The name says it all...fineness in Black does matter). THE REST OF THIS AMAZING ROYAL LINEAGE INCLUDES: Snowmass Andean Bronze, 4 Peruvian Andean Gold, 5 Peruvian Tapara, PPeruvian Croixen. 5 Peruvian Red Hot (1/2 brother to Snowmass Midnight Magic), 5 Peruvian Ajoyani, Snowmass Golden Paradise, Snowmass Legacy Gold, Snowmass Peruvian Paradise, and Accoyo Legacy! Congratulations and thank you to Angelina Rice on her purchase of Commander's Pi-Yay! COMMANDER'S PI-YAY Pi-Yay is over 7/8 Peruvian and gorgeous. This little girl is very social and very special. SilverSmith, Peruvian King, Chaccu, Camillio-Accoyo Chimborazo, Allin Capac and Caligula (via Commander) are the big guys in her ancestry. Allin Capac is reported to be half brother to Vengador both being sired by the legendary Shere Kahn. Allin Capac is a major player in the Australian herds genetics. Count the Get of Sires in her background. Wow! Pi-Yay's Dam is Peachy Keen, a lovely peachy colored light fawn. Her maternal grandsire, 5 Peruvian Chaccu, was the 2001 AOBA National Show Blue Ribbon winner in the Get of Sire Class. Chaccu was originally used extensively in the Snowmass Alpacas Breeding Program. Chaccu represents rare blood here in the US as he is from the Puno Region in Peru where very few genetics were released during the imports to the US. Pi-Yay's fleece is super fine, well crimped, very good density and has intense luster. Pi-Yay took a non-sanctioned blue ribbon. This award was granted by a non-alpaca nationally recognized multi-species Fiber Judge, Mark Eidman. It is reported that accompanied by an experienced alpaca fiber educator, Mark was told you rarely find a true bright pure white alpaca fleece and then they opened up Pi-Yays fleece to reveal her exceptionally white, crimpy, bright, fine pencil locks. Shearing Weight 2006: 3lbs @ 9 months of age Wow!1.8 lbs of #2 fleece 4.8T Staple 5 1/2" relaxed Offspring: On 12/2/2010, Pi-Yay presented us with a superb dark brown male sired by Snowmass Andean Midnight. Her Multi-champion son, ANDEAN'S PEGASUS OF COUNTRY ESTATES is now one of our wonderful brown herdsires and the sire of our 8x Champion, Estates Legendary Picasso. On 10/27/2012, Pi-Yay gave us a handsome white male sired by GB Judgement. Judgement’s offspring are enhanced with strong bones, dense fleece, and crimp, crimp, and more crimp! On 10/31/2013, Pi-Yay gave birth to a good-looking 16lb dark brown male also sired by Snowmass Andean Midnight. On 10/20/2014, Pi-Yay gave us a light brown female also sired by our Snowmass Andean Midnight. Snowmass Andean Midnight, who offers proven genetics of brightness and handle. On 11/6/2016, Pi-Yay presented us with a beautiful light fawn female sired by Patagonia's El Galan. In 2017, Pi-Yay gave us a handsome light fawn male. In 2018, Pi-Yay gave birth to a good-looking white male.
