MULTI CHAMP GREY!!!

Plum Creek's Taji

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Rose Grey
AOA# 36088973, CLAA# 50015DOB: 5/15/20195 yrs
GENOTYPE: Ee a1a2 Classic Grey We are so thrilled to have added this fantastic new classic grey male to our lineup! Plum Creek’s Taji made its way to Canada mid-summer 2022 and we are expecting his first offspring in 2023. Taji’s typey conformation, solid square frame and superior fleece qualities are everything we look for in a classic grey herdsire and he will certainly be a great successor to Wingman, our Bomber son, who is now back in the US. Taji is one of only 2 registered classic grey son sired by Bellarmine (ATV Adonnis)…the other one being Crescent Moon’s Emmaus! Taji’s MSG dam, Estates Yanni, has retained beautiful fineness and uniformity with age (4th fleece: 18.8 | 3.9 | 1.2% >30 | MC 47.4). No surprises here as she comes from prominent grey lineage in NS Magic Flight (Snowmass Enlightenment) and more great lineage in Patagonia’s Ernesto (Patagonia’s Lennox). Being the product of excellent bloodlines, it's no surprise that Taji has done extremely well in both halter and fleece shows and that his fiber stats are simply delightful! We cannot wait to start creating our next generation of awesome greys with this boy! Taji will remain exclusive for 2022 and will be opened to outside breedings in 2023. We wish to thank Brian and Valerie from Plum Creek Alpacas for allowing us to bring Taji into our program! UPDATE: Taji's first two crias in Canada both win Grey Colour Champion at their first halter show! The judge had very similar comments for both juvies pointing out a great combination of positive fleece traits and confirmation traits. Both juvies displayed a high degree of organization thanks to incredible fineness and uniformity of micron combined to above average follicular density; a combination that is more rarely found in classic grey! We are absolutely thrilled with these results and comments and we look forward to many more offspring from this amazing male!

Stunning Wingman daughter!!

Sutton Wingman's Bombshell

HuacayaBred (Female)Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 36006113DOB: 6/9/20204 yrs
This gorgeous girl represents everything we are breeding for! Delightful fleece with amazing coverage and outstanding true-to-type conformation with gorgeous head style. She definitely displays the ‘Wingman’ signature look and is typey just like her sire and dam. We have sold her TB dam so we will be holding on to this stunning classic grey Wingman daughter! Bombshell has done very well in both halter and fleece during her showing days and she is now moving on the new phase of her life, which is to produce mini replicas of herself ;) She is currently bred to Jophiel for her first cria due late May / early June 2023. EXPECTED GENOTYPE: EEaa We will not testing this girl as she is the product of a classic silver grey (from a silver and TB) and TB dam! It would be extremely surprising that this girl would be anything else than a EEaa!

Description

GENOTYPE PENDING Expected genotype: eeaa | Classic Grey A second female cria from our amazing dam Bombshell, but this time with sire Taji. We expected a darker colour outcome from this combination as both parents are Eeaa and only had a 25% chance of getting a lighter outcome! Although we might not have won the colour lottery with this female, Bailey certainly has some very interesting qualities and she could still end up carrying the classic gene. As we await her genotyping results, we can certainly appreciate her extra long staple lenght as well as her extra fine and very uniform fleece. Her fleece also displays great brightness and is also showing a very fine crimp at the skin which will be interesting to follow as she matures. We wouldn't expect anything less from her parents genetic combination so we look forward to seeing this one grow!
