Bella is something incredible exquisite! You will hear terms like modern silver grey, harlequin, platinum grey-- well roll them all into one and that is Bella. This coloration in incredibly rare, one of the absolute rarest alpacas colors out there. Bella is a solid platinum silver harlequin and her name, Bella Gris, meaning "beautiful grey" could not be more appropriate. Bella began life as a light fawn cria and by two years of age, she was completely grey-- except for her top-knot and leg fringe. She is completely spotless and the most beautiful light silver grey. While harlequins are not too common-- the solid, platinum variety such as this-- well, there may be a handful, at most, in the United States. So sometimes we find these special colored alpacas and then some other aspect falls short for a breeding program. Well, not with Bella. She has a very desirable build and beautiful fleece with nice crimp and lock structure. Before starting her production career, Bella had a nice run in the show ring-- 2X banner winner and 6 blue and red ribbons in just 7 shows.
