CCNF Elixer is simply amazing. He started his show career at the 2012 North American, winning both Color Champion and Judges Choice at 7 months of age. He repeated that performance at the 2012 Futurity at the ripe "old" age of 8 months. Shorn and growing a new fleece he was halter Color Champion at Both Empire and Green Mountain (no JC awarded at either show). His fleece was entered Green Mountain, also garnering a Color Champion banner. VAOBA was his first appearance in a Judges Choice line-up as a yearling, and he did not disappoint. The level of competition was high at VAOBA, with multiple CC and JC winners in the field. His fleece is fine and uniform in the extreme. Add to this density, brightness, and solid conformation, and you have the perfect package! Given his fading beige pattern we expect him to let dark color pass. Sired by world-class Futurity Champion and Judges’ Choice winner, CCNF Elixir, Acapella also has the distinction of being the full sister of CCNF Antares, this young white Herdsire who has won multiple championships in both halter and fleece (including a Judges’ Choice Huacaya at last year’s Empire fleece show), and who is poised to join their famous sire in the Stud Barn here at Cas-Cad-Nac. Anyone that’s watched yhis program over the past two years has seen what the first couple of batches of Elixir kids have meant for us and Acapella is another excellent representative of her paternal line. Over the last winter, as Acapella’s fleece grew a greater staple, she started to show that both she and her older brother were not flukes. Quite the opposite in fact. With amazing brightness and the soft, buttery handle (Acapella’s 2017 fiber stats: 13.4 AFD, 2.9 SD, 21.7 CV, 0.0 >30) we have quickly come to expect from our Elixirs, combined with the extreme staple length and organization we have seen so often in the SuperNova line (her maternal grand sire), she has a fleece that is simply a joy to behold.
