Look out for a donated breeding at the 2025 AOA National Show! First, you have to thank Red Granite for delivering such an outstanding male. Second, you have to thank Kitt Hollister for selling you her herd, including this outstanding male, and if I could reduce the lack of hesitation in making that purchase, I could in fact reduce it to this one male. From Kitt: "The best way to introduce this male is using the facts. First: YES, he is a true Harlequin. His great grandsire, Black Epic, is one of the most prolific Harlequin Appaloosa producers out there. His spots are subtle as his coloring is very light, a most stunning lavender rose grey. They are there, however, and there is no question that his extraordinary coloration is the result of the Harlequin Appaloosa gene." At 127.2 follicles/square mm density, Man of Mystery is the densest alpaca yet biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA, and I have not yet heard of a denser alpaca out there. With a primary SD of 2.5, secondary SD of 2.2, and fiber population differential of 3.5, he is also one of the most uniform. To quote Ian Watt directly, "overall this is the best alpaca I have tested in the US." His yearling histogram, at 16.0 AFD and 3.1 SD, is fine. His two year old histogram, at 17.3 AFD and still a 3.1 SD, is fine. His 2019 AFD, calculated off of his biopsy, is 16.9. So, he's fine, and he's staying fine, which is to be expected. Why? Well, his sire, CCNF Legionnaire, has a 6 y/o AFD of 17.3 with an SD of 3.5, and his dam's 5 y/o histogram was 20.5 with an SD of 3.5 -- impressive for any color, but stunning for a TRUE BLACK. So, here we go: unbelievably dense, uniform, and fine. As the pictures show, this fleece is, as expected, also quite beautiful -- bright bright bright, with a high-frequency crimp that stamps it as truly elite. He also has a decent staple. So far, he has thrown pattern 80+% of the time. His crias demonstrate his unique coloring and fantastic fiber statistics! He's produced blacks with 16 micron fleeces adn 2.9 SDs, and appaloosa/harlequins with 17.9 microns and 3.6 SDs. Be on the lookout. This guy is restricted but his kids are not... Much much more to come.

Beautiful fleece color champion with top EPDs bred to an amazing herdsire, SpringToo Skyfall. The cria is going to be a stunner!!! And this cria - Willow Wind's Windsong is definitely a stunner. We took her to one show and we got three offers on her. Windsong was sold to Corey Wesson of Sopris Alpacas. Congrats Corey! Serenade is bred to Lakota for a 2022 cria. Another elite female bred for elite spots. And we have a winner! A boy with outstanding fleece and spots This little guy is dense and bright and fine and is showing a LOT of promise. We named him Willow Wind' Quintessential. This boy is sporting a very fine well organized fleece with a very well expressed Harlequin grey/spotted blanket and frame. EKE - we love this little man. Serenade is bred to Man of Mystery for a Spring 2024 cria! CANNOT WAIT And Serenade is looking pregnant and Sassy. Due any day now. Serenade is being offered with this baby about to enter the world and bred back to the herdsire of choice. DO NOT MISS this incredible opportunity to own a well celebrated white, a gorgeous temperament with outstanding mothering skills and bred to deliver an elite harlequin appaloosa. TWICE. A three in one deal that is hard to pass up. So guys - you missed out. LOL Serenade had an absolutely incredible elite harlequin male... The fiber is simply outstanding. Serenade is bred back to MoM for 2025. I offered.... you missed it. Keep your eyes on this lady's contribution. And MAYBE...... I might be offering something. Maybe. :)

Description

Sold! Congratulations to Alison Minch of Roaring Acres Alpacas on purchasing Conspicere, Ethereal, and Meticulous! Willowwind' Meticulous is nothing short of amazing! High-frequency and high-amplitude bundles from head to toe. Density, uniformity, and staple length are also seen. A very high-quality appaloosa!! His dam, Linden Hills Serenade, was the 2017 AOA National White Reserve Color Champion winner in walking fleece. She has Top 1% EPDs too! She is a direct daughter of Maple Brooks Barnabus and her bottom side brings in Eastwind's Snowstrom, a Snowmass Messiah son, as well as JFS Orion, a 4Peruvian Starr Khan son. Very elite genetics here! His sire is none other than Red Granites Man of Mystery who has been stamping out some incredible offspring these past couple years. His son, Howling Hill's Conspicuous (owned by Mule Train Alpaca Ranch & Fleecy Friends Alpacas) won the 2024 Futurity Reserve Color Champion banner for mulit-color males. He descends from CCNF Legionnaire (owned by Red Granite Ranch, Ltd.), a Snowmass Matrix Majesty son, and Red Granites Maggie Mae, a granddaughter of Black Epic! Meticulous has the genetics to produce stellar appaloosa and harlequin progeny! Defiantly should be shown. His price is negotiable, just ask.
