Red Granites Pruet by Bad Boy

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 35489665DOB: 6/30/20186 yrs
Red Granite's Pruet by Bad Boy we hope will have the same longevity of fineness that his father has, Bad Boy. You can look under the sire tab on this page to see the AFD measurements on Bad Boy over the past 8 years. Pruet's first 3 histograms look like he will continue with this long line of longevity. All three of Pruet's Histogram show an AFD is under 19 microns. That is longevity. Further Pruet will increase density, crip, handle and fineness. All of Pruet's EPD rankings are more than desirable, insuring definitive offspring improvement in 7 of 8 fiber traits. Not just a little improvement but significant improvement. If you have white animals with a decent histogram picture, breeding to Pruet can give you your next fiber champion. Pruet's actually has improved rankings in staple length and fiber weight over his sire. So, you're getting all of the fineness genetics of his sire but more improvement in these other important fleece traits making Pruet the real deal. Red Granite describes Pruet like this; "Standing on a strong and great frame alongside carrying a gorgeous bright crimp that has the BLING factor, he is a very exciting male to look at. Most importantly, his fleece remains very "fine" and retains extraordinary brightness, handle, and uniformity across his blanket. We would assume that all of those traits listed above would also be passed down to his offspring, after all that is what this exceptional sire line is known for doing…"

Dam: Man's Obsession

WOW what a beautiful 4th generation cria

Man's Obsession

HuacayaOpen (Female)White
AOA# 35163640DOB: 9/24/20204 yrs
Obsession is a big, beautiful girl who is destined for any new owners who seek a seed stock female. The pairing of Snow Diamond Sweet Breeze and sire Majestic's A Man Among Men will make Obsession desirable to any white breeder. She missed the 2020 show season and so far in the 2021 show season she has done well. She has a large frame and lots of bone. In fact, was mistaken by Wade Geese as a two-year-old in the Get of Sire competition at GCG when she was only13 months. She has an ideal phenotype with lots of bone and stature. Obsession did 2nd place at CABA in juvenile white full fleece halter. The judge's evaluation which put her in 2nd place was her fineness and uniformity of fineness. Her fleece has all the attributes you would want in a foundation female for any breeding program. Obsession is packed with fiber; she has excellent substance of bone and has proved to be a good-sized dam. Obsession's EPD picture is outstanding, 7 of 8 values are highly desirable across her traits. Our goal for our females is to have EPD values below 10.0 to 15.0 % in all traits. Insuring improvement in offspring for every fiber trait. Obsession is nearly there. We are not concerned with getting 1% in a few traits at the expense of other traits. We work toward low percentages uniformly across all EPD trait values. Obsession has two offspring, both beautiful. Obsession now has a 6-month-old cria Bad Girl out of Red Granite's Pruet with no problems giving birth, with normal birth weight and was a great mom. Obsession is the epitome of the perfect breed dam in her genetics and phenotype. Obsessions 2025 shear weight was 11 pounds. All of Man's progeny develop these kinds of fleece weights into adulthood.

Description

Bad Girl is a Cross of Majestic's A Man Among Men and Red Granite's Pruet by Bad Boy. She is the second cria out of Obsession who was out of Majestic's Man. She was born with amazing fleece. Long, lustrous and the best of these two studs. Further, she is out of Man's Obsession one of the best breeding dams we have ever had. She feeds everyone, has incredibly uneventful births and maintains weight regardless of how many she if feeding. Obsession is a large well proportion phenotypical dam and a dam our Vet Dr. Robin calls "Really Nice". Pruet has already given us 7 girls to one boy. Bad girl showed as a juvenile at just 6 months and had respectable placing with a large field of white juveniles. I have no doubt her placing would be much better had she been a bit older.
