Futurity Judges Choice!

Alaskan Gold

SuriHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 32829846DOB: 6/24/201410 yrs
Proudly co-owned with Rogue Suri and Shambalah Alpaca Ranch! Alaskan Gold is more than we could have ever hoped for in a Suri male. He has an incredible show record with 11 - 1st Place wins, 5 - Championships, and was awarded the prestigious Judges Choice award twice, one at Futurity! Alaskan Gold is out of Whirlwynd and by the great Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar. His pedigree is dense! Density seems to elude many alpacas, even if they have nice fleece. Alaskan Gold sheared 13.4 lbs and ranked TOP 1% in BOTH Fleece Weight AND Staple Length for all EPD samples submitted in 2016! All of the judges he showed under gave credit to his fleece characteristics and appreciated his stout and straight conformation as well. Alaskan Gold has already put some amazing crias on the ground so far and we anticipate many more to come! We can't wait to see what this boy can do in our herds! Closed to outside breedings.

Stunning fawn!

WLK Vallisha

SuriBred (Female)Medium Fawn
AOA# 36090099DOB: 10/24/20186 yrs
We are very happy to be adding this stunning female to our foundation herd. Not only is she a beautiful fawn in her own right, with a large frame, correct conformation and lustrous, dense fleece, but she is the offspring of two black/bay black parent, so will make a great addition to our dark program. Vallisha had a stunning bay black male by Sniper who we can't wait to see in the show ring! She delivered an absolutely stunning 2023 fawn male by Alaskan Gold who we can not wait to hit the show ring with. She has been bred to Aston Martin for a 2024 cria.

Description

Denali, an Athabaskan (indigenous people in Alaska) word meaning "The Great One", and boy does Denali live up to that meaning! He may have been a slow starter as a juvie, but he gets better and better as a yearling and I don't see that trend stopping. We opted to shear him as he had a fleece break, and his regrowth is nothing short of amazing. He will definitely be one to watch this coming spring as he continues to mature. To say that I am looking forward to putting this boy to work as a herdsire is an understatement!
