We are proud to own and open up this incredible herdsire for a limited number of breedings. Quixotic’s dam, Starry Night’s Quetzal, was purchased at the prestigious 2008 All-American Alpaca Futurity. To say that this dam is impressive is an understatement. She was a gorgeous dark silver-grey female with incredible fleece character and rare density. Quixotic’s dam was bred to Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah the first year, and the result was the famous multiple champion A & A and MFI Quatrain purchased by Coffee Pot, Whistler’s Glen, Applewood Farm, and Tangled Oaks at the 2010 Breeders Choice Auction. In the second year, she was bred to Jeremiah’s paternal brother MFI Peruvian Formula 1, co-owned by Magical Farms and Flying Pony Alpacas, and the result was A and A & MFI Quixotic!! Quixotic is phenotypically gorgeous and his fleece is outstanding. As a very young juvenile his fleece won First Place and Grey Male Color Champion at the 2011 AOBA National Fleece Show…an amazing accomplishment for a juvenil

Caitriona was awarded the female Reserve Color Championship at The Futurity 2017! Judge Amanda Vandenbosch praised her exceptional uniformity of color (no white fibers) and micron, the consistency of her architecture from topline to belly, the brightness of her fleece, excellent conformation and incredibly soft hand. She is the complete package in conformation, style and fleece characteristics! Caitriona is the stunning daughter of CC Estates Happiness in Harmony and Get of Sire Winner and 3x CC/RC - AVC AJ's Kodiak! Her fleece has been described as blue black with excellent fineness and beautiful architecture. Caitriona won a blue ribbon at her first show at 6 mos of age. We look forward to seeing what Caitriona will do in the show ring as she matures. Caitriona is next gen black genetics! Her dam Harmony (daughter of Snowmass Satin Reserve XX) won another blue ribbon when she was almost 10 mos pregnant with Caitriona and her sire Kodiak was winning Championships at age 6! Jet Blues fleece is highly organized fleece and he has a handsome phenotype. Some consider him a "Next-gen black"! Color genotype testing for Jet Blue indicates he carries MC1R EE and his ASIP is a1a2. No dilution was evident and both of his alleles are black. It will be very unlikely that he would produce light offspring and all offspring should cover black. We are excited to have this information to assist in our breeding decisions. The bone structure is large and straight on a compact square frame. The fleece is dense with complete coverage. It carries great density and uniformity of micron, color, and crimp.
