Summer 2022 - Oro continues to exceed expectations with the offspring we are getting! A stunning dark female (not sure if she is black or DSG) has hit the ground and WOW! Topping it off with his son, Rascal, winning "Best Head" in Ohio, and daughter, Shasta (another dark female!) landing in championship round in her color class...2022 has shown us some great things with the Oro kids so far! ________ Summer 2021 - Oro's first offspring have hit the ground and WOW. Both male and female are just stunning! A rich dark chocolate brown female is sure to be a winner and the fawn male is going to be tough to beat in the ring we think. Take a closer look at the pedigree this guy offers and you will see why we are excited for his next generation offspring! ________ March 2018 - This male continues to impress. Placing third at Nationals was an amazing feat for this male. Competition was incredible and Oro didn't back down at all - rather he stepped up to all those males and stayed strong in a class of 11 and took his place proudly with the judge saying that he well deserved his ribbon. He continues to mature and his conformation, density, fineness is all there - he is the package for sure! Awesome male! _________ **Update Nov 2017 - it's a Reserve Championship for this young male at the OK show! This doesn't surprise us as this male is powerpacked with genetics. It is thrilling to watch him develop into a yearling and we can't wait to see him mature into a breeding male. ________________________________ What do you get when you cross amazing genetics of Bisturi, HemiAccoyo lines, LB Castano Bay, and PCA Accoyo El Nino? You get this guy! This male has such dense fiber it is difficult to part it. We aren't concerned that he is a fawn from a brown and a grey...most breeders know that is the secret to throwing greys in the future...heeheehee. Pay closer attention to this one, after all...SpringToo Jamahl x Bisturi's Persephone doesn't come along too often! No doubt, the sire - SpringToo Jamahl - passes the baton to his son and hands this young man his own bragging rights. But look a little closer at the dam and you will see that she quietly has her own crown of jewels herself. The daughter of FDA Bisturi's Persephone - an amazing grey - is well known for producing top shelf females. She didn't disappoint this time either. Add in the well balanced lines of the crossed "hemiaccoyo" mergings and you have some amazing marriages of traits for the next generations.

Summer 2024 - we are retiring Haven so she is looking for a relaxing place to call home where she can just graze out her retirement days. While she is an excellent mother, we feel as a small breeder with limited pasture space, it makes more sense to focus on next generations, such as her daughter, Gabbie, for breeding purposes. She would be an excellent aunt or companion for others in a pasture. She is an easy keeper and easy to handle. _________________ Summer 2023 - it's a bouncing baby boy for Haven and we aren't even disappointed - after all, this is a Haven x Oro offspring! Yay!! _________________ Haven is a treasure we picked up from a wonderful farm in TX. She has an amazing record of offspring and brings the diversity and rockstar maternal instincts that we look for in a foundation female. Even at the age of almost 12, Haven still has EPDs in the top 15%. Yeah, she is that kind of girl. All of her previous cria were blue ribbon and/or banner winners, Haven’s 3rd cria was sold to a farm in Poland! Haven passes on the service sire’s distinguished characteristics, which places them as winners in the show ring. She’s an easy birther, a heavy milker, an all-around great mom, and an amazing member of our foundation herd. Haven is currently bred to Oro to see if we can bring color out in her next offspring, and we are very excited for the arrival of this little one. We have no doubt that she will continue her extraordinary legacy with this next cria.

Description

Congratulations to the new owner of this spectacular guy. Look again at those fiber stats and you will understand why he is going to go places. He still has and incredible handle and the fiber is bright and full of uniform and consistent architecture. Believe it or not, this male DID show in the APPY class! And took 1st place over the West Coast farms who traveled past the Mississippi River to compete! Spud might look white on the outside, but he hides a multitude of medium fawn spots in his incredibly fine, yet wonderfully uniform and full of architecture fiber. He has a superb and correct frame. A peek at his fiber stats for 2024 (15.4 / 3.2 / 100.0 - per Ian Watt), and you see why his fiber is phenomenal. It also has a nice tight, consistent crimp from skin to tip and is incredibly bright. This is a NICE male if you are into SPOTS! We prefer solid blankets, so we think this male should go to a farm that breeds for spotty traits. ;) Take a look at his ARI and you see an abundance of color among his "who's who" of ancestors.
