Fischer's Kamala
HuacayaOpen (Female)Light Fawn
AOA# 30461994DOB: 6/9/200717 yrs
Kamala came to our herd with a notable lingering fineness, which is not surprising from a long line of fine fibered animals. Her sire, Denver Rio Grande, is a Pperviuan Royal Fawn and Pp. Leon grandson. And her dam, Brigetta, was observed first hand to have a fine fiber still at her age!
For her 2015 cria, Kamala was bred our stud Orionn, an Accoyo America Apocalypse son. Both Kamala and Orionn have had crias with a very nice fleece -- crimpy, soft, and shiny -- in color! Her boy, Daystar, had excellent fiber characteristics! He is white/beige with two small brown spots on his side but his fiber is off the charts in brightness, fineness, crimp and bundling, and coverage. He has already been acquired by another farm looking to add his fiber qualities to their breeding program!
Kamala then produced our lovely Aurelia from CCNF Legionnaire -- who is now a breeding dam on our farm.
Her next cria was a beautiful DB girl by Maelstrom, stunningly bright and crimpy in her dense fine fiber. Stupid, $!$?% weather the year she was born (2018 'bomb cyclone' winter) really stressed her out and we thought we were going to lose her. This sweet girl persevered, but our little Temperance slowed way down in her growth. She had started back up in her growth the next year, but this delay knocked her out of our show ring prospects, which was really disappointing. Tempe has since produced her own cria in our herd, so we have her in our foundation.
We then bred Kamala back to Maelstrom for a repeat cria, but Tempe's full sister was made in LF instead of the black we ordered. Born a silky, her yearling fleece came back in with a nice crimp along with the expected brightness and silky fineness. Nalini was bred this year.
Kamala is a great mom and loves to produce cria, so she has continued to breed for us. In 2022 she birthed a medium brown male sired by our AutumnSun's Major General who is available for his herd. His name is Domino Effect, as he will bring good things to his herd.
Kamala is being sold as unbred though last year she did have a cria and should be able to if you wanted to nurture her through her last one or two breedings. Otherwise, she would make a great addition to your lawn grooming herd :)!
