ENRIQUE is proudly owned in partnership with GLENGARY FARM ALPACAS of Ohio, and is currently residing at CIRCLE W FARMS in Liberty, NC. ENRIQUE is the son of DDF PERUVIAN RICO SUAVE who at age 9 was holding a 17.6 ADF fleece. Look at ENRIQUE'S ARI and you will see that he comes from lines of lingering fineness. ACCOYO ELITE,PERUVIAN HEMINGWAY, PPERUVIAN VICTOR, PERUVIAN BUENO and all indications he will pass it along. DR. NORM EVANS SKIN BIOPSY REPORT: Sunset Hill's ENRIQUE was biopsied as a 5 year old light fawn male with ARI#31749572. He was a BCS of 6/10, frame score 3 of 3 and weights of 200 pounds. His 15X scan shows fiber clusters uniform in shape and placement within the connective tissue. He grades 4 of 4 glands and also note that near 30% of his secondary fibers are cylindrical or round which also equates to grater brightness of fiber. Observe the 6 fiber clusters on the S/P of 14.5 to 1.25 fiber clusters as average of 13.9 to 1. Also note on the G/P view the presence of triad fiber clusters which is usually associated with more dense alpacas. His density is measured at 63.25 follicles per sq mm of skin but receives and additional 1.5 points of density for the level of skin stretch due to his body condition score. ENRIQUE'S true density is 64.75 follicles per sq mm of skin. 100 secondary fibers of 18.9 microns and 50 primary fibers average 26.4 microns for a variation of 7.5 microns. ENRIQUE shows above average density, S/P ratio, a high level of glands with many round fibers, below average secondary medullation and extreme fineness with a low spread for his age. Amazing fiber stats for a five year old. .

Excellent herd addition!

Description

The Answer Man is relatively new to our farm. We rehomed him and his herd mates from a small fiber-focused farm that decided to get out of the alpaca business. We immediately recognized his potential for herdsire work given his well-organized, 21 micron fiber and superb frame. It's understandable why his earned several blue ribbons including one at the 2020 National's during his show career. Check out his histogram for a more complete picture of his qualities. He is already living up to his name for us. We put him with one of our most challenging, larger females that four other herdsires haven't enticed to crush down. She was all in for Answer Man. We hope to confirm that pregnancy soon.
