Apache Gentlemen's Alchesay

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White, Beige, Medium Fawn
AOA# 36102471DOB: 5/12/20204 yrs
Alchesay was sired by Apache Gentlemen's, who has produced many stunning appaloosa cria. Alchesay's dam is Alpaca Rainbow Ranch's Valentine, who has also won a Banner and blue ribbons at shows. The combination of these two alpacas, gave us Alchesay and he has proven to be a Champion himself. Alchesay is our lead herdsire, here at Alpaca Rainbow Ranch. In 2025 we are hoping for 9 cria from Alchesay, with ranches that have brought in dams to breed with him. We are proud of the quality of the fiber on these offspring, thanks to Alchesay's quality throughout his fiber. Just check out Stella's Perfection by Alchesay aka "Dot". Alchesay's phenotype stands out from the others, his fleece has incredible coverage, Character of crimp throughout with a strong consistency of the fiber in his blanket. At the Nationals Fleece Show in 2024, and 18 multicolor males that entered, Alchesay was awarded the Multicolor Championship Banner. This exceptional male is well mannered and knows how to present himself in the ring and to the prospective females.

Granite Bay National Velvet

HuacayaOpen (Female)True Black
AOA# 32305869DOB: 7/12/201410 yrs
National Velvet "Lizzy" is a true black female with short face, broad muzzle and fuzzy ears. She is a fantastic mother, very protective. Her bite is perfect. Her sire is Neversummer's US Steel 3 X Futurity Herdsire of the year for the Small Breeder Division and proven producer of beautiful gray color champions. National Velvet's dam is Granite Bay Satin Silhouette, a beautiful Snowmass Satin ReserveXX daughter with excellent bone substance on a stout frame. Lizzy has thrown harlequin, grey, true black and fawn. National Velvet comes from a great line of animals with excellent milk production and great mothering instincts. We purchased Lizzy for her ability to produce harlequin and gray offspring. She will match up nicely with Argento. Lizzy delivered a solid black male cria. He is super healthy and strong. He is curious and ornery. We have named him Loki! Lizzy has now been exposed to Argento. We are looking forward to a lovely gray cria.

Description

True Black son of Apache Gentlemen's Alchesay! Loki didn't get the memo about spots! He isn't spotted himself but certainly has those genetics behind him so breeders of multi/spotted animals should take a look at him. He was named Loki because he was quite ornery as a cria. Always tormenting the other babies and moms. He is square and solid. His fleece is a lovely shiny true black and in his first show he was awarded a second with the judge commenting that his fleece was very consistent in its fineness and crimp style. He is relatively dense for a black. We think his next regrowth will come in even better.
