Patagonia’s Chilkoot is a compact herdsire with long staple length, fine fleece, and bright, luscious fiber. He has a beautiful head and compact body. In 2014, Chilkoot was assessed by Senior Judge, Amanda VandenBosch as an “A-.“ He has consistency in micron as well as in color, large bones, and a gentle temperament. His sire is Patagonia’s Lennox, the ultimate Multi-Champion herdsire. His dam, Patagonia’s Augusta, is a top-line production dam on our ranch. Augusta is a 3x Color Champion and received Reserve Champion at AOBA. Augusta also won 6 blues ribbons in her show career (one being at The Futurity). ESTATES OJOS BONITOS Check out this lovely lady and you will see that there is more to her package than just pretty eyes! Ojos Bonitos is the daughter of Snowmass Pure Passion, our most proven champion producer at ACE. Passion has been recognized with multiple Get-of-Sire blue ribbons! Out of our 1,000 alpacas, we selected our top quality 250 to be part of our breeding program and Passion's genetics are in approximately 50% of this group. Do we need to say more about this incredible male? In addition, her paternal grandsire is none other than 8X champion, Snowmass Matrix, winner of Reserve Herdsire of the Year for Light AND Color in 2008, as well as Color Herdsire of the Year AND Light Reserve Herdsire of the Year again in 2009! Her dam, Estates Sweet Taffy is the daughter of our wonderful fawn herdsire, R&R Trojan 52T, whose crias have been exemplary with outstanding fineness, gorgeous crimp, beautiful large bones, and the total package! Trojan inherits his strong genetics from his sire, R&RR Oliver Twist who has consistently been producing outstanding offspring in Canada and the United States, that exhibit fine, uniform micron in their fleeces, along with crimp and correct, solid conformation. They both come from Canadian Judge Ruth Elvestad’s dynamic breeding program with emphasis on fineness and density.
