The icing was on the cake with the coming of Dizzy Gillespie who has a superior phenotype in solid rose grey, with fleece "to die for". He is the 2017 AOA National Fleece blue ribbon grey, both rose and silver combined. He also has excellent follicle density testing by skin biopsy: Follicle density: 61.8/cm2 S/P ratio: 10.8:1 Mean primary follicle diameter (in skin): 26.8 SD 3.6 Mean secondary follicle diameter (in skin): 23.8 SD 3.3 Dizzy was breeding by his second birthday and his cria are outstanding and he is making gorgeous roans!

Gun’s A’Blazin daughters are a precious commodity and we are fortunate to have one in our foundation herd. Adelina, out of RR Koyuki, brings some strong genetics, on both sides, into the mix. She is beautifully conformed, with excellent balance and proportions. Her fleece is notable for length, fineness and beautifully organized bundles. She was bred to multiple champion Dizzy Gillespie and had a beautiful female copy of him. This breeding was repeated and she just has a stunning roan male on 11/17/2022, RR Dizzy’s Groovin’. Groovin was a 2x RC in halter and a CC in walking fleece for his 23/24 show season!!! Adelina will be bred to Snowmass Majestic Reflection for a 2025 cria! Stay tuned for another little rockstar!

Description

Dizzy’s Groovin is a stunning, beautifully fleeced, phenotypically correct, compact male, who holds himself very upright. His sire is Dizzy Gillespie, a solid, conformationally correct, 2017 AOA National blue ribbon winner in both rose and silver gray classes, with excellent follicle density testing! Groovin’s dam, Adelina, a Gun’s A’Blazin daughter, out of RR Koyuki, also brings some strong genetics on both sides into the mix! Groovin’ has an excellent fineness to his fleece that carries through, from the skin to his tips. His fleece is well organized, uniform and very soft to the hand. The judges have said he’s got a “Knock out” fleece. “When we open this fleece up, it cracks open with a lot of pizzazz! It’s got great crimp and character. It’s extremely fine and extremely uniform on a solid frame.”
