Patagonia Estates Sakima is a gorgeous jet-black male with fine, bright, and amazingly dense fleece. When you touch this fleece, your heart will melt! His fabulous dense bundling goes from head to tail, and from back to underbelly, and into his legs. He has a very soft handle, good substance of bone, excellent conformation, lock and character are extremely nice, and magnificent head and leg coverage. Genetics for Sakima include Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia's Lennox, a magical combination for success! Sakima’s sire, Patagonia's Chilkoot (Lennox son), was assessed by Amanda VandenBosch as an "A-" having "excellent fiber coverage with great phenotype." His dam, Estates Sentimental Journey, is a dynamite solid black foundation dam out of the Snowmass line and Peruvian line. Both dam and sire had some show winnings Sakima is a 6x Champion and has won numerous awards as a member of our 2016-2018 show strings. He's won 3 Color Championships (2018 Carolina Alpaca Celebration, 2017 CABA Classic and 2017 ABI shows), 3x Reserve Championships (2021 AOA Nationals, 2018 CABA Classic & 2018 Southern Select), & has taken home numerous Blue Ribbons as well (including FIRST Place at the AOA National Show - 2021, 2019, 2017 & 2016)! She is the daughter/son of Snowmass Pure Passion, our outstanding multi-champion herd sire. Passion represents 30 years of passion in breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpaca. Passion is a 7x blue-ribbon Get of Sire winner and has sired numerous champions, and multi-champions, including 14x Champion & 3x Judge’s Choice winner, Estates Passionate Fever. Her maternal grandsire is multi-champion, Snowmass RRoyal Fox (2010 AOBA Gray Composite Champion), from Snowmass' Royal Bronze and Casanova bloodlines. He's a full Peruvian with '98 imported true black and maroon granddams, so he's unrelated to all other gray bloodlines! Offspring: On 7/29/23, Tanzanite presented us with a beautiful light brown female sired by 6x champion, Patagonia Estates Sakima. Her daughter, ESTATES WIND BENEATH MY WINGS, brought home a 3rd Place ribbon from her first show - 2024 Houston Show (*2nd Place was our Estates Elida Celebration XX). Description

Wind Beneath My Wings has impressed us since day one! It is hard to consign her but we selected from our best. Upon birth it was evident that “Wings” was special. Her fleece was so fine and dense, forming tiny bundles that felt like seed beads on her skin. Wings comes from the two most prestigious herdsire lines at ACE, Sakima and Pure Passion! Wings, as we call her, is filling out beautifully. She still maintains a straight topline, correct proportions and proper angle to her legs. Her bite and jaw set are also correct. She moves fluidly and has a good balance through her frame. She has great coverage, a feminine head, and good substance of bone. Her fleece is what we love. Her extreme fineness, combined with excellent density is the hallmark of this fleece. She has a high frequency crimp with zipper-like bundling that is consistent down into her legs. The handle is divine, indicating superior uniformity of micron. She has the superior handle like her father, Sakima, and the excellent density and fineness from the Snowmass Pure Passion line. Her sire, Patagonia Estates Sakima, is a gorgeous jet-black male with stylish, fine, bright, and amazingly dense fleece. His fabulous dense bundling goes from back to underbelly, and into his legs. He has a very soft handle, good substance of bone, excellent conformation, and magnificent head and leg coverage. These traits are clearly expressed in Wind Beneath My Wings. Genetics for Sakima include Snowmass Andean Midnight and Patagonia's Lennox. Sakima is a 6x Champion and has progeny recognized in the USA and Internationally. His offspring are still taking home banners in 2024! Her dam, Estates Tanzanite has also been a great influence on Wings’ quality. She had two traits in the Top 5%, two in the top 10%, and two in the top 15% for the 2023 EPD calculation! She is the daughter of Snowmass Pure Passion, our outstanding multi-champion herd sire. Passion represents 30 years of passion in breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpaca by Snowmass Alpacas. Passion has sired numerous champions, and multi-champions, including 14x Champion & 3x Judge’s Choice winner, Estates Passionate Fever. Her dam is KCAF Royal Truffles, a grey foundation dam and favorite at Alpaca Country Estates. Wings has a small grey spot on her neck, possibly due to her grey ancestors. Wings is a step above when it comes to fleece quality. She showed in a dark mixed class at the 2024 Houston Livestock Show. Watch for her in the fall of 2024 and at the ACE’s Loaded Auction! With Sakima and Pure Passion breedings closed, this is a rare opportunity. She is a fantastic addition to any colored program.
