Sugarland's Challenger began his show career at the 2019 AOA Nationals in Denver where he was awarded the Supreme Champion Dark Male at just 10 months of age. He then went on to win a total of 7 Champion Banners and 3 more Judges Choice Awards at the Spring Shows before turning one year old. Challenger has been described by Judges as a "Power house fleece producer" and having fleece like "I've never seen before". Carrying an "Extraordinary amount of fleece on a rock solid frame" having "Unique crimp style going from his top knot all the way to his knees". " Superior density and fineness with an oily feel" Challenger's sire is Snowmass Paso Robles who carries extreme density on a compact frame and his dam is Majestic's Peruvian Demetria, our 13 Time Champion Jumanji daughter.

Description

Crystal Liberty comes from a long line of quality alpacas. Starting with her great grand dam, Micay, who came in on the last importation from Peru. When Micay passed away she still had a micron of 22! The fineness of her decedents can be seen in every generation. Liberty’s dam, Crystal Royal Golds XX Pearl, was a multi-color champion and has seen been labeled as our number one breeding female. Liberty’s sire, ELK Jacob, was named 2021 Herdsire of the Year and has produced many high quality offspring. Liberty sports a very fine fleece with high frequency crimp. She has good staple and decent density. If we were to breed her and improve her fiber it would be to an alpaca that can push the density. Liberty has always been towards the top of her show classes earning multiple 2nd and 3rd placements in very difficult classes. We know Liberty has all the potential to be a top producing female and to help improve any farms breeding program!
