**Update Aug 2022: the first offspring for Phoenix has hit the ground and has exceeded our expectations ... we are thrilled that we even have a male offspring for future crossing with females, the offspring is THAT nice! Ancestry is definitely passing on the baton here. And...now a female has hit the ground! WOWZA!!! ________ We have intentionally kept this young male hidden for a reason. He has settled his first females and we cannot wait to see the offspring. His sire is an incredible 7x Supreme Champion up in Canada. His dam is also a Canadian knockout who hails from a line of "who's who" champions. When Phoenix hit the ground, we knew we had something special. We had not seen such density and "wetness" (think of the luster you see on a suri) on a cria in a long time. The fiber coverage and bone on this male is also amazing. The stars just simply aligned. We took a gamble and decided to keep Phoenix from the show ring and let him grow into his frame and we are extremely pleased - he starts his breeding career this spring and will be closed to the outside at this time.

**2024 - Angel appears to have absorbed the 2024 planned pregnancy. She is currently open. There are no plans to breed her until we free up some pasture space due to the large number of crias that hit the ground in 2024.** Pricing reduced to make room and we have these genetics in our herd already. **Aug 2023 - Jackpot! Angel has delivered exactly what we were hoping for! A stunning white offspring from our secret weapon - our quietly hidden herdsire, Phoenix. WOWZA - we are thrilled that this is a male offspring to cross with future generation females! **Update June 2022: Shearing a blanket weight of 5.1# as a 15 month old is amazing! This is exactly what next generation fleece producers as foundation females are all about! Her fiber exhibits an incredible staple that is uniform, fine, consistent from skin to tip and is from an extremely dense fleece. Matching her with a future mate will be fun! When we chose to bring DEFCON-5 (the son of Futurity Color Champion Hidden Hill Peruvian Dually) into our breeding program, we had an IDEA of the impact he would have on our long term goals. Angel is proof in the progeny of a strong impact male stamping out consistently awesome offspring. Each offspring we have seen so far have the same traits, and Angel is no exception: She exhibits - strong and correct frame (check) - full fleece coverage (check) - correct bite and true to type huacaya head (check) - bright, soft, fine, dense, UNFORM, fleece that has a consistent architecture from skin to tip (check) - well developed for age (at 14 months of age, already over 110#) (check) Angel's ARI brings a stunning ancestry to back her - so it is no surprise that she is a solid female. With powerhouse names such as Caligula (doubled up), Augusto, Mister Antonio, Coyo Destini, El Nino, CCNF Archangel, and hidden colors of Snowmass Legacy Gold and Accoyo America Kamikaze, this is clearly a step beyond a "who's who" to tap into for ancestry. Both Dually and Defcon have their own championship credentials to add to the list so pairing this girl up for future mates will be an interesting challenge. We have chosen Phoenix for the traits that he brings to the table - outstanding density, fleece coverage to his toes, stunning thick bone, and amazing brightness.

Description

Jack – as he is known around the farm – is most definitely a "next generation” alpaca. As soon as he was dried off, we knew that we had hit the “Jackpot” with this young male. Strong bone, excellent and correct frame, full fleece coverage – and the brightness, density and abundance of fleece was apparent within a few hours of his birth. Jack had an incredibly uniform, dense fleece (with 2024 stats of 17.1 / 3.6 / 100.0), that sits upon an strong and large boned frame. This is a young male that will continue to mature and should be taken seriously as a future breeder. Since we own both parents, Jack is a reduced price until we decide to have him replace his sire on our own herdsire row. Blessed with excellent parents – his ancestry screams champions on both sides of the border – we recognize that most US farms won’t be familiar with some of the Canadian genetics, and that is ok…we will let Jack (and his paternal sister, Bailey) speak for themselves as they mature and catch they eye of farms around them - and the judges!
