If your goal is to produce elite-fleeced appaloosas and harlequins, this young male is for you. He is handsome and well-grown-- 190 lbs. (Feb 2024) He carries elite-fleeced heavy hitters in his pedigree such as Legacy, El Nino, and Snowmass XXXtreme. These elite-fleeced alpacas are known for their lasting-fineness and density. GSire Accoyo America Sai-Hoji was 21 micron at 11 years of age!
Not only does X Man sport a sweet, easy-to-handle disposition... his fleece is exactly what you would expect from such a stellar pedigree. He is dense and fine and FULL of crimp! He has a tight primary to secondary ratio with an AFD of 21.2, SD 3.9 and Fibers Greater than 30=0.6%. (Age 4) Expect lasting fineness from this guy!
X Man now has 17 offspring on the ground. We are extremely pleased with the quality and coloration of his progeny. They are having great success at shows and on the auction stages. A couple of noteworthy accomplishments...
June 2023 - X Man's harlequin offspring Monet's Palette of DVAF sold at the New York Parade of Champions after some very competitive bidding.
July 2023 - X Man's harlequin offspring - Derwydd's Pukka-Dot by X-Man took the GREY Color Champion at the 2023 AOA National Fleece Show.

Description
Rare Gem Oz is a handsome young male with dense bundles of curly fleece from day one. Ozzy, as we call him, missed the memo on the spots, but makes up for it with his stellar fleece quality and outgoing personality.
Irish Meadows Freya, Ozzy's dam, is an elite-fleeced 3X champion daughter of Irish Meadows' Elite Max co-owned by Irish Meadows and Cas-Cad-Nac Farms. Elite Max is known for his very rare Merino type fleece and his illustrious show career which includes 28 championships including AOA National Supreme Champion Light Male and 9 Judges Choice Awards. Irish Meadows' Elite Max owners say, "You haven't seen light fleece until you have seen Elite Max! He has the fleece of the future!".
Ozzy's dam, Freya, has held her own in the shows with 8 blue ribbons and 3 banners. Not only is this girl fine, uniform and dense... she is bright, bright, bright! (See pictures of her fleece to the right). Even at a young age, Ozzy is already showing fleece characteristics similar to him mom's.
Ozzy's sire is appaloosa herdsire, Rare Gem X Man. Ozzy has a 50 percent of carrying the appaloosa gene with the ability to throw it if paired with the correct color genotype. The appaloosa genetic is descendant from the NGG Lional line-- one of our favorites.
In addition to NGG Lional, X Man carries elite-fleeced heavy hitters in his pedigree such as Legacy, El Nino, and Snowmass XXXtreme. These elite-fleeced alpacas are known for their lasting-fineness and density. Accoyo America Sai-Hoji was 21 micron at 11 years of age!
