CCNF Legionnaire

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Medium Fawn
AOA# 32511239DOB: 7/27/201212 yrs
We are now closing Legionnaire to outside breedings. With hi weight fluctuation and age we think it best to keep him in house. He has many sons working for us! To say we were excited to partner with Amber Autumn Alpacas with CCNF Legionnaire at the 2014 Breeders Edge Auction would be an understatement, a huge one. In a long run, Legionnaire went on to be the highest selling alpaca at the auction (we bought him for $57,500), figures considering this guys genetics. This spectacular young male was the 2015 Futurity Fawn Male Color Champion & 2015 AOA National Fawn Male Reserve Champion!! Two of the most prestigious shows in the alpaca industry and he took home purple. Ending his show career with four Judges' Choice awards and nine Championship awards. By one of the world’s great sires, out of a female from a sensational family line who has made a huge impact on the United States industry, here we have a male bred on a cross that has been proven to produce champions. CCNF Legionnaire, a son of Snowmass Matirx Majesty, has enjoyed extraordinary success as a sire with championship winners in both the United States and Canada and his offspring being found in Poland, United States, Canada, and Australia. Overall, his offspring have won many championships and even Judges’ Choice and National Championship titles. Even more impressive, his son Red Granites Pallaton (Now resides in Poland) won the 2018 Canadian Supreme Champion Male award, Palltons offspring have had much success in the Canadian show rings themselves. Another son by Legionnaire, Red Granites Man of Mystery (Owned by Willow Wind Farm Alpacas) is the densest alpaca yet biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA, and we have not yet heard of a denser alpaca out there a at a whopping 127.2 follicles/square mm density. His daughter, Red Granites Pixie was sold at the 2018 Amber Autumn Auction for a pretty penny, where she was purchased by EP Cambridge Alpaca Stud in Australia. Combining Cas-Cad-Nac's powerhouse production female; CCNF Magdalena and Snowmass Matrix Majesty you would only hope for an advanced fleece, Legionnaire carries a extremely advanced fleece. He carried a six year old fleece with a AFD of 17.3 and SD of 2.5, SIMPLY UNREAL numbers for a six year old BREEDING male. Legionnaire's breedings are limited, please contact us for more information.

Service Sire: Estates Passionate Fever

FEVERISHLY DENSE AND UNIFORM

Estates Passionate Fever

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 35602668DOB: 6/14/20186 yrs
Color Genotype: ee a2a2. When Fever is bred to EE aa females he will produce Bay Black/True Black! Estates Passionate Fever is a respectable fourteen-time champion and three-time Judges’ Choice winning, light fawn son sired by Snowmass Pure Passion and by Estates El Galan's Yellow Fever. Snowmass Pure Passion represents over 30 years of passionate breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpacas. Snowmass Alpacas said, “Snowmass Pure Passion is the most magnificent Light Fawn Matrix son Snowmass Alpacas has ever produced.” Fever's maternal grandsire is Patagonia’s El Galan, a magnificent four-time champion winning herdsire out of Patagonia’s Cayo. His maternal great grandsire R&R Oliver Twist has consistently produced outstanding offspring in Canada and the U.S., that exhibit fine, uniform fleeces, along with crimp and correct, solid conformation. Passionate Fever has a fleece that is feverishly dense and uniform. In 2019, Passionate Fever was evaluated as an A+ by senior AOA Judge Amanda VandenBosch. "He has excellent substance of bone, balance to frame, fiber coverage, good organization within staple, maintains consistency across fleece, moves to the extremities to neck, good density relative to fineness." Jill Marcellus said, "He’s a very refined looking male, He’s moderately sized, right in the middle there, & that can be very useful in a breeding program. He’s got good balance & proportion, excellent substance of bone, & a very typey male with a good strong phenotype. I really like his head style as well. His fleece is very fine & exceptionally uniform in all the fleece traits. I pulled samples from all over the place on him & really there is virtually no difference from mid-side to right into the front shoulder area to over to the hip. That also carried through with the staple type and also the expression of character through the fleece. It’s very uniform right across his body and underneath his belly." Passionate Fever had three crias (all females) for his previous owners, two light fawns and a beige all by light fawn dams and a beige dam. Passionate Fever will no doubt be a remarkable stud male for us in both light and dark color breeding, he carries everything we want in an Elite Stud from top to bottom. He will be bred over many different colors this year (2022) to see his potency. Fever's offspring are championship winners to boot! Proudly Co-Owned with Crescent Moon Ranch and Sopris Alpacas Ranch. Times for when he switches between ranches will soon be released. Limited Outside Breedings

Description

Someone missed out on this female at the 2024 AAA, but we will gladly breed her! Red Granites Shea is an astounding direct daughter of CCNF Legionnaire, a sire who has offspring all across the globe consuming major success! Shea's mother is our National White Color Champion female, H2R Seren, who also just happens to be a direct daughter of Snowmass Velvet Touche. A genetic cocktail crossing super-sires: Snowmass Conopa XXX, Snowmass Velvet Touche, and Snowmass Matrix Majesty! Shea already has a Color Champion win under her belt and will make a wonderful foundation dam! A Color Champion winner in her own right, Red Granites Shea is an astounding direct daughter of CCNF Legionnaire, a sire who has offspring all across the globe consuming success at extreme extents. An internationally recognized stud male with offspring residing across the United States, Canada, Poland, the United Kingdom and Australia. His offspring are known for their impressive micron numbers which stay insanely fine and uniform throughout their lives as well as the density and frames he stamps onto his offspring. Legionnaire is the sire of multiple AOA National Champions, Canadian Supreme Champions, and even the densest alpaca biopsied by Ian Watt in the USA at 127.2 follicles/square mm density... The dam of this female is none other than the 2017 AOA National White Female Color Champion recipient, H2R Seren. We purchased Seren at the 2017 Futurity Auction because of her genetics. She is sired by Snowmass Velvet Touche (Snowmass Touche son out of a Snowmass Royal Bronze/Snowmass XXXtreme cross), a two-time Futurity Champion, IAO Champion, and multi Herdsire of the Year winner. Seren's dam is H2R Seraphina, one of Happy Hounds most cherished foundation females. Shea has the density, incredible fineness, lovely uniformity, brightness, and a very soft handling fleece. Her fleece is high-frequency with highly-aligned bundles, which are uniform, varying very little in micron numbers across her body. At the 2023 AOA National Fleece Show, Shea's fleece was entered in the Innovative Fleece Show at 11.9 months old. Her microns were as followed: Shoulder 18.6, Mid 15.2, Low/Mid 18.0, Rump 20, with an average micron of 18 and a variance of 4.8. Judges comments were "Uniform in style and density to the staples. Best for knitwear, suiting baby blankets, christening gowns, chemo caps, light weight scarves." She won 4th pace out of 6 in the "Dark" category (combination of dark animals). In the Fall of 2023, Shea managed to secure her spot on the show team (again) and has won numerous top ribbons and even a Color Champion Fawn Female banner (above a multi Judges' Choice female)! Shea will continue to do well in the ring, there is no doubt about that.
