Derwydd Grand Moreno's Asirikuy

HuacayaBred (Female)Light Brown
AOA# 30682177DOB: 9/16/200618 yrs
Asirikuy has tight crimp, good density and defined bundles and coverage down her straight legs thru her toes. She has a pleasing head with a correct bite. While at the 2008 International Alpaca Odyssey Asirikuy was evaluated by Dr Julio Sumar who felt she was a very nice female with good fineness, density and a soft handle. He very much appreciated her 'very good' bite. Asirikuy means laugh in Quechua. Asirikuy has Color Champion siblings on both sides of the tree!! Her Sire, SA Peruvian Grand Moreno has many multi-champion crias from WHITE to Brown. Her dam Muyuri has produced 2 color champion boys for Derwydd with 6 girls, one of which (Chilchu) was the high selling Huacaya female at the 2006 futurity (100,000K!). Her dam Muyuri has delivered all her cria unassisted, has always had milk and lots of it. Muyuri's crias all wean in the 70+ lbs range. Asirikuy was Reserve Color Champion herself at the Level IV Monterey Pronk 2007!! You can see from her record she did very very well in her show career both in Halter AND in Fleece! What is she going to produce? -> BLACK!! Her 2011 FEMALE cria (Danu) out of Peruvian Francisco, true black, silky fleece, crimp coming in nicely and....GRAY - Silver gray 2012 cria from the breeding to Luciano! We have two of her offspring so she is now being made available bred to the fine fleeced Skyline's Comet for her next offspring!

Service Sire: Galotto's 38 Harmony

Proven Aussie .38 Special Son

Galotto's 38 Harmony

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White, Medium Silver Grey
AOA# 32822458DOB: 11/9/201410 yrs
Description Top 15% Densest Grey Alpaca tested, Per Ian Watt "Harmony is a son of Aussie .38 Special, who really needs no introduction to anyone with even a passing interest in gray alpacas. He is a 15x Champion, 2x Judge's Choice, Herdsire of the Year; at the age of eight, he won the “Spirit of the Industry” recognizing the lasting quality of his fleece. Far more importantly, he imparts his bone, conformation, and elite fleece traits of extreme fineness, uniformity, density, high-frequency/high-amp crimp, and staple length to his offspring. This is especially incredible given that all of these awesome traits very rarely all go together, and .38 gives them to his get with amazing reliability. Harmony is not merely “any” .38 son, however. He is out of a daughter of Rincon Cloud, one of the other most pre-potent gray herdsires in North America. Rincon's Magnolia is one of Rincon Cloud's absolute best, a stunning, full Chilean solid silver tuxedo gray out of a truly true black dam. She has had two previous daughters, both of whom inherited impeccable conformation, perfect type, and beautiful fleece. Harmony inherited the bone of his sire along with the compact size of his dam sire, resulting in a perfectly proportioned, perfectly sized animal. His conformation is positively faultless. He inherited the awesome full fiber coverage of both parents, and a head that is the most ideal I have seen on a .38 offspring. Then, there is the not small matter of his fleece. Harmony's fleece completely redefined how I think of gray alpaca fleece. It is not just great. It is elite, and I reserve that word for only the most indisputably awesome alpaca fleeces. I am a fineness fanatic, and this fleece is fine, and fantastically uniform. These traits combine with an excellent brightness to produce a wonderfully soft hand, but it doesn't stop there. My photographs of this fleece do it no justice, because his crimp is so tight – that extreme combination of high-frequency and high-amplitude that feels springy when pulled. Incredibly, his staple is excellent, and I say “incredibly” because it is extremely rare for a fine, high-frequency fleece to have such an amazing staple. Add a terrific density that can be appreciated even on the animal, and this is one seriously elite fleece. His biopsy results confirm that he is, also, one of the densest grey alpacas yet tested ...

Description

Her first Cria was a perfectly gorgeous male with amazing fleece that sold at 4 months (though didn’t leave until weaned). Luci’s Blue Steel 2019 cria carries the blue silver fleece of her sire. Her 2020 cria by Titian is MSG with beautiful character and a lot of density that placed in the top of his classes!! Bred to Ikon for her early Summer 2022 cria produced a gorgeous LSG male cria that has a breeding future. She was exposed to CM Casimir for a 2023 offspring. .
